like i told ya,awkward button positions.
the slide pad's stick is on the right side of the buttons while Wii U's right on the upper side along with the left analog stick.

so yeah,you'll able to learn a new claw method.lol.

this'll be a difficult adjustment for me... So this means no more running while looking for mega potion icon now...

I just bought the game today.

I'll post my friend code as soon as I figure out how to...

it'll make combat 50% easier cus camera rotation will be quicker.

i've tried it without the slide pad at first for awhile....until i became a chew toy in the water.

i'm telling from the experience from playing Monhan TriG(Jap title) so if you get the DS,the Slide Pad is a must!

even though there's a Lock-On feature in it,Slide pad can make you react faster while in the water or facing fast monsters like Barioth,Nargacuruga and Brachidios types.

I want to get this game but I don't have a 3DS or a Wii U. I plan on getting both eventually but I'm too poor right now.

prize and control wise: 3DS.
HD graph and internet connectivity wise: Wii U.

Isn't Wii U better in terms of control since there are 2 sticks? the directional button is just secondary cus the right stick can be used for the 360 degree navigation.

you mean the one without the touch screen?
well....i don't know much about it but it seems inconvenient when you need to signal chacha and kayanba,fast mixing and lock on because in 3DS,it's already there in the lower screen.

i could be wrong on the Wii U side about the control but it definitely have the advantage on the HD and Connection.

afaik you only need to press select right if you want to signal ChaCha

at first,yes.
but if you need to signal Kayanba,it'll be easier with the touch screen.
