So I got around 10 hours in or so.

I got to a mission/quest where I had to fight both the Bear thing and a bird dragon.

Couldn't do it. I guess I need to grind for better gear.

current set up? also just aim for 1 at a time when doing multi hunts. Great thing about multi hunt is the monsters there have their HPs reduced

Anyone still playing? I just got back into it, grinded up to HR 118. Though, lately I've spent almost all my time boosting my friends since a few of them got the game for free with Mario Kart 8.

ditto, just playing when bored and helping lower leveled friends. HR72, no significant armor change, except that I'm trying to get the female armors from Monhan erohon....lol. Damn Gobul Kingwhisker is so annoying to get.

I was playing yesterday with my friend until he ragequit on A Lagia, it was priceless.

It's a great game, but honestly it's turned into more of a social event for my group. We get together on skype and talk about our lives while hunting. I'm not complaining though, it's a nice reason for us all to come together.

early 2015 is still far away....

after i got back from japan,i'm still actively playing Monhan 4 because it can still connect with the japanese server from indonesia.almost no connection problem except when i tried to play while i was torrenting some movies.

i'm at HR 230 right now and pretty much just trying to collect weapons and doing LVL 100 guild quest which is pretty much has the same difficulty as in G rank(slighty upper than G sometime) now.

and also trying to get the full set of the legendary rare Kirin armor that you can only get one part of the armor at the time depending on the lvl of the guild quest and what type of weapon/part of the armor/armor class/armor series which it came from(Dos series,Tri series,Original series).

so far,i've only saw 3 people wearing the full set of it.


even though i'm planning to get Monhan 4 G when it came out this autumn,i'm also gonna buy myself a 3DS US ver when Monhan 4 Ultimate is finally on sale for sure.
wouldn't wanna miss the fun swinging my Charge Axe around y'all.lol

4G is out in japan since a few days ago. Discuss.

I'M HR 84 NOW. SOMEONE PLAY WITH ME.

and here i am.

i'm playing Monhan 4G by converting my data from Monhan 4 so all of my items are transferred along my character.

i'm HR 315 right now and from what i've seen,players who have played monhan 4 and finished the storyline will immediately jumped to Dondoruma,the Online city from Monhan 2/Dos to rebuilt the city's defenses. you'll need to do all the NPC's quest before you can get into the G Rank Guild Hall that's located at the top of the village where the Giant Village Elder resides in his place.
also,only in that guild hall we can do episodic Yukumo & Moga village quests. some normal and some DLC.

but since Monhan 4U will put us from Zero,i'm guessing we'll start from Monhan 4's storyline 1st then we can get into the 4G/U's story.

i know most of us just want to jump to the Guild Hall's online quest asap but i suggest to do most of the villages quest 1st because most of the cooking skill,felyne otomo and material exchange (Nargacuga,Diablos,Ceadeus,Alatreon,Chameleos,etc) quest are only available in the villages. and it's a good start to get those materials before we can hunt some of them in 4G/U's storyline.

right now i'm still in the 3rd act of Dondoruma's quest where Serogiasu or "Steve" is keep invading the quests we're doing. at first,i saw Steve as a big rooster like Wyvern but as long as i keep getting damages from Steve's exploding scales,i can get a Bleeding status and it's annoying as fuck.
each time you run and attacking,you'll lose 2-5% of your health and it's effect is roughly 5 minutes after you got it. imagine that when you're low on health and you're hunting Steve in G rank.urgh...

that's all i can say for now besides the fact that Ukanlos totally OWNS my ass because it keeps jumping like a puppy on me and i wasn't prepared for it in the bormal Online guild hall.
i'll give more information in the later process.

yuropoor never does that, judging from my playing experience here in 3U. They always skip village and go to port.

back in 3U,it's just for the farm so you can skip it.
but in 4,it became essential to do it if you want to have some Nargacuga,Ceadeus,Diablos,Ukanlos,etc parts early before hunting them/the only option is to trade them.

I think I'm HR88? Just made a edgemaster, stamina recover up, marathon runner, and crit draw set. Feels satisfying.
