One thing I really hope for also is that they improve the graphics (as in MAKE A GOD NEW ENGINE).

P1 was nice, but not killer. Got some flaws like dungeon navigation (never was into the whole first-person thing) and a slow pace in general. Apparently the translation sucks too, but I wouldn't know...

If you dig oldschool games, especially the SMT series, give this a try... but it's totally different from it's newschool counterparts.

Yep. I picked up P1 after 3 and 4. Totally different. That's not to say it's bad; just don't expect it to be the same.

Persona 5 would be sweet(wouldn't mind the s links and all that) but I would like the world to go back to the route of persona 2(realistic and mature)

I'd like to see that too. Though Persona never really was that much "out there" as other RPGs in my opinion.

Well yea, you got me. But remember, P1 was released for the PSP; better graphics, improved battle sysytem, and much better translations. The first-person view doesn't bother me either though, because I've played Shin Megami Tensei II. The regular Shin Megaten games are kind of weird though; demons are one thing, but killing God is going A LOT further. But I do want to try out the other series, like Devil Summoner and Digital Devil Saga.

Well, I'll just say maybe they'll let you create your own customizable main character. Maybe add some of the things they do in Shin Megami Tensei Online.

Devil Summoner is REALLY different from your average SMT games and spin-offs... the fact that the DSs are action games are difference enough. Still enjoyed the first one though, haven't played the second one...

I havent played the 1st one cause im having a bit of trouble finding it, played the 2nd one it was good but it felt kinda dragging at one point but thats just me

I got bored of the 2nd one at Chapter One, it was so dull... and the combat was horrendous.
Digital Devil Saga's good though. Really good, don't know why I stopped. Maybe cause it's a huge grindfest at parts.

To be fair, most games people call SMT games aren't actually SMT games at all. Persona is not an SMT game, but they just call it one in America for marketing reasons. Anyway, what I was going to say to Quadratic is that DDS can be kind of dull but DDS2 has a lot more plot development and character development. The first one feels like it's had most of it's cutscenes removed by comparison.

The others are just spin-offs or totally unrelated games that just use the same enemies and stuff because Atlus are lazy fuckers.

Well i was planning to place ppl straight sooner or later when seeing as such a great Franchise name gets tossed around *non franchise boundary games*, that was kinda making me more and more sad.

If i still remember correctly, persona is *Megami Ibunroku Persona* along with *Megami Ibunroku Devil Survivor*
