Persona 5

i kinda wish/want they would make it like [C] (watch spoiler if you dont know the anime) from my veiw 3 and 4 were like tokyo majin except add a persona on your side

[color=#006FFF]I'm just glad that they are working on that alongside with P4G and P4: UiM, despite the fact that it will take a while to release.

Here's hoping we won't have to wait very long after those games release to see something on the game. (Don't want this to take the route of FF VS XIII and have the announcement several years before we get its release.)

I'm really stoked for the new Persona (I will most likely get a Japanese copy as I do most of the time...), but I hope they don't make the plot too easy to see through if you played 3 and 4.

Like, the two games share so much plot elements (even if they only become apparent on closer inspection), it'd be a damn shame if the 5th game would make these elements formulaic.

The "bad guy" a person that you know personally and trust him, even? And then, DUN DUN DUUUUN, he's the bad guy. Fooled you all along!

The protagonists, being "The Fool", as a vital element in the villain's plot? OH NOES WE ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING CONTRARY TO OUR INTENTIONS

The theme that mankind wishes for its own destruction? OH MY GOD WE ARE ALL DOOMED! HEY, WHAT'S WITH ALL THIS FOG, AND THAT WEIRD THINGY IN THE SKY

i personally felt persona 3 was better ( probably cuz its theme has a darker feel?). its actually because mitsuru is too fucking hot.
but they improved the battle system and dungeons (though tartarus was awesome but its wayy too long and surroundings too similar.)

hmm... I think it will need some time before P5 acctually came out.. it just feels like their trying to earn as much as they can on P3 and P4 before they move on to P5...

I hope there would be an option to play a villain or anti-hero this time. P3 and P4 were pretty similar: hot spring incidents,someone important dies or doesn't die. You have to max out academics,courage and charm and also be involved/improve the lives of people around you.

How about playing someone who develops bonds with criminals or dropouts and use the power of the 'fool' for more selfish reasons rather than saving everyone from shadows.

Side Note: I've always wanted to fight Igor and not his assistants.

If you're talking about the Fool arcana, that kind of thing doesn't really fit. All the arcana have meanings and shit behind them which is how fortune tellers use them and the Fool represents a main character just setting out on a journey with no knowledge. They're going to be guided by the other arcana. It's the number 0 because 0 can become anything. If you think about it, Minato and Yu both kinda just showed up and were roped into saving the world. Before that they didn't give a fuck. Their character is essentially blank slate. So for the main character to do evil shit he'd probably have to be roped into it in a major way.

Yes, this is a response to an old post from Quad, there was no update because tho this day there is still no new info on the game, so when you have something to post, do it because I haven't found anything yet.

ANYWAYS, still nothing on persona 5, and if I remember to come here, I'll post whatever I know, but to be honest this site kinda went to shit since I used to come here a lot, so I don't know how relevant this thread will be when the time comes. Like I said though, if I remember the thread and have something to say about the game, I will. If you don't like that, make another thread.

True, they were nagged into saving the world but I do remember Igor in P3 saying something fancy about making sure to make your own choices(though they really were forced to be good guys any) with that said the option of not being the new kid, making friends and helping other people with different arcana get over their issues(Gourmet King LOL) would be good to see in the next game.

If not the 'fool' then maybe play a pill popping, evoker using dude that forms a group like 'Strega'. I've always wantes party consisting of a Break dancing nerd, Gothic Lolita and a Skinny guy with a messiah complex :3



I just read up on P4 Arena, and that is a strong possibility though I think I'm not the only one who really wants to play a bad guy with a persona just for the experience.

Atlus' parent company (while floundering at the moment) has managed to register a domain for a future Persona 5 website.

Take this for what you will, whether another announcement is soon, or they're just picking it up well in advance.

Damn, I keep forgetting I have to play 3&4. I'm afraid I won't like it because of my experience with P2.

Nothing like P1 and P2 in my opinion. I prefer P3 and P4. Give at least one of them a try since P1/2 are more like the main entry MegaTen games and P3/4 are more like their own game.

If we could just find a way to save the p3 protagonist I will be okay. (gee I miss that guy...)

Looks like it's going to be a dark kind of story again. I just hope it's not too gloomy and brooding.
