Question about gaming if you don't mind me asking this

Fellow gamers,fellow anime fans and fellow manga fans i have a question about adult games,eroge games,hentai games, varies visual noval games including dating sims games & otome games if you don't mind me asking ahead of time if i ever try any and this question I'm asking ahead of time is because if only if i ever own any.

Do you think i should hide them if i ever tried any of them and if i love any of them of course or should i proudly display them and proudly display them with my games and yes I'm also talking about if adult games,eroge games,hentai games, varies visual noval games & otome games is any of my favorite games?

And yes I'm also talking about if any of them is one of my favorite games and what if i have any favorite characters on those games not just anime,manga,doujinshi,foreign movies and foreign shows such as Asian dramas and before you asked me for what systems i mean any systems and yes i even mean for the PC version and PSP versions so for any systems if i ever own any adult games,eroge games,hentai games,varies visual noval games & otome games at all only time will tell.

And I'm sorry for a long read and I'm sorry if this question is stupid or dumb since i know there's some adult games,eroge games,hentai games, varies visual noval games & otome games and other games are not and I'm just curios and i don't know how will she react to it whenever and when and if i put myself out there dating again &/or if she's just a good friend of mine and if she sees it and if she sees it in my collection even though i love other games,anime and manga besides adult games,eroge games,hentai games, varies visual noval games including dating sims games & otome games if i ever tried any of them and if i love any of them.

Short answer, no.

Not everyone understands the appeal of anime and some think its an odd interest. Your interest in eroge will appear even more odd because people will immediately view it as porn first. So, don't openly display your eroge unless you have want people giving you odd looks or are around others with the same interest.

As long as you're not playing the games around younger eyes then no. You shouldn't have to hide what you like doing, barring that it's not illegal or anything like that.

OT: It depends on the people. If you have friends with similar interests they probably wouldn't care, but the average person would probably look at it weird. Eroge even more so. Plus, do you really need to "proudly display" porn?

I would say it really depends on the game.

Because having non-h visual novels that are well known (Steins:Gate) makes a much different impression on people versus an obscure hardcore game (Rapelay). Also what do you think your friends/family/acquaintances would think of somewhat disturbing stuff such as Saya no Uta or Corpse Party?

So if it has lots of sexual content I would generally not display it in public, though the whole "if you want to hide a tree place it in a forest" thing works sometimes as well. I have a copy of Velvet Kiss mixed in with all my regular manga and nobody has noticed so far.

Pretty much what yummmines said. I'd have some of the less hardcore stuff out and put away the harder core content. Just don't let anyone put you down for your hobbies; you like what you like and you just need to ditch the people who make jokes about it and find people who are cool with it (same applies with women).

Good rule of thumb to go by is:
1) how old does the girl look?
A) under 12 > put into closet
B) highshool and above > acceptable to display

2) how much clothing is worn or seen?
A) naked to 40% clothed > closet
B) 50% clothed to fully dressed > acceptable

3) any genitalia or nips seen on cover/back?
A) yes > closet
B) no > you're good

4) any tentacles, bondage, fucking on the cover, toys, cum on the body, ripped clothes showing majority of body, gore, molestation, etc, etc.
Just put it in the closest.

Cosplay and dress up girls, girls wearing cat ears, high school uniforms (again as long as the heroine does look like a straight up loli), big breasts, panty shots, slightly revealing characters (such as bra shots or cleavage), swimsuits within reason (bikini is fine, if it's just string up the but then probably keep it in the closet) and somewhat ecchi characters are fine to have out and about.

Well, some Hentai visual novels has acceptable cover arts like (one of my favorites) Heart de Roommate in w/c the girls on the front cover are just wearing their school uniforms. Another example is Snow Sakura's cover art; no sexual depictions there.

So it would really depend on the situation. I suppose the OP will just have to decide on that so exercising common sense will still be the best.

I'm not really sure on what you're indicating, do you mean displaying them by openly sharing them? or by displaying your anime stuff?

Personally, keep it simple, or even that is actually presentable without giving any spiteful or discriminating thoughts about you. Don't go like a hyped fangirl when explaining things, just keep it cool and go with their pace.

I just keep all my things on the shelf, but wouldn't bring them up in conversation unless I already knew for a fact that the person I am talking to is into that sort of stuff.
