Just wanted to start a thread to find out who else plays Rainbow 6: Siege

If people would like to post reviews, game advice, etc etc. Just to share thoughts about the game.

Also if people are interested in starting up a party/group let me know, we could get a Discord Channel or attempt to get a Teamspeak going.

So, I just picked this game up off the PSN sale and so far I'm loving it. Most matches even with randoms have a decent amount of communication, from the operators I've played I really enjoyed the diversity in each making them all unique though a few of them could wield the same items like breach charges. This is a slower paced game and I love how simple they made peeking corners on a console shooter.

How is this game? Thinking of picking it up for my PS4. I remember playing Vegas 1 & 2 and loving both of those games.

Plating it on PC, I love it. Dropped about 40 hours in it and it levels up quick and unlocking operators and weapons with the in game currency is really quick. Ranked matches are alright, better with people you know but still managable solo.

Pros: nice mechanics, the patches fixed dsync and latency issues. Fun alone if you like to talk in the mic, even better with friends or people u casually game with.

Cons:Still not sure if they fixed the phantom shots. Where u die but dont even hear the shot when they are close (generally with a sileced weapon but when u what the kill cam it shows them missing half a clip around your head and one bullet nailing you). Players who don't communicate (hit or miss, you either get the guy who grenades a hostage or a dude that can clutch like a boss)

Not knowing a map can really mess your tactics up, so use if you are new kinda stick with people and use your drones to find your breach points and map out your route/clear areas

There really isnt a campaign but the situations are a must play if u want to have an easier time in multiplayer. Gives you and idea of the maps and diff operator gameplay

It's fun, just be ready to sink some time in on your first go to get acquainted.

Probably should have quoted you but ^ My remakrs above, i say if u can find it on sale, def get it, so you can either get a season pass with the extra cash or just save it. I got mine on sale and all the dlcs will be free but the season pass gives some unlocks, permanent in game currency boost off wins, and will be able to play new operators free right away vs unlocking with in game currency.

My suggestion, skip the season pass. I dont have it and u less the new operators are over lime 5000 reknown points (currency) ingame....you wont have a problem at all saving enough to unlock.

The time ive played so far, ive gotten enough reknown for all operators and 80% of the unlocks for all their guns. Since i dont plan on using the other 20% of the attachments

And i still have about 12000 reknown to spare. Its a bit of a grind fest but shouldnt take long and you wouldnt notice if u end uo enjoying the gameplay

Been playing for a week now Level 23 I have almost all the attackers and half the defenders. I agree the season pass seems like a waste and you get a free 24 Renown booster that if you win alot or win in ranked with it you get alot of extra points to buy every operative and the attachments you want. Overall I love the game so far my only real gripe is how little punishment there is for team killing in ranked and leaving a ranked game. I think they should follow CSGO's system for 2 hour and up bans. Not this 8 minute time outs, another minor complaint is that when you "down" someone if you don't shoot them in the head as they go down they are invicible and won't die until the animation is over, hopefully they will patch it soon though.

Yeah I know those issues as well but I can work around it since they cant fire when they are downed, unless it's doc with his special - since he can revive himself - but its not too noticeable for me

Cracked down and bought the game. Enjoying it so far. Probably best if I had a squad though.

Sweet I'll add you I've been loving the game again since the new patch finally came out for consoles.

The new update is really glitchy. It sucks since I've been addicted to this game since the day I bought it. Hopefully they'll patch it soon.

Yeah I've noticed it too, at least on PC, ever since they brought in the Canadian Ops, its like pre 1st patch hit boxes. The Shields got nerfed which is good, but its buggy as heck when you are playing as one and you try to ADS.

I know it's meant to have weight to the shield but sometimes my char gets stuck in animation

The new patch came out. Glad it's mostly fixed now.

Also played ranked for the first time. Went 5-0 in my placements and got to Gold 3. Yay!

you only had to play 5 games D: i had to play 10 to get ranked....lol

Ranked matches? What's next, weapon cases?
