Taimanin Asagi Kessen Arena

Rather than selling or used for training them, Dupes that is higher than 1*, can be turned into one rare medal. I Actually got 3 Sakura's 2* cards.



But it's more consistent and less annoying than having to search and get lucky for a copy of the card you want, like most of the other Card games out there.

Just maxed one of my 4* cards (Lvl 45), I have 3 including the Free Yukikaze.

Well if there's one card that just starts dominating the arena and it just keeps popping up all the time in the higher ranking arena levels that could be annoying. For now the game is pretty satisfying since it's laidback and the freedoms given under the microtransaction system are very lenient.

Or allow me to walk you through:

Notes
-This is not a direct translation, so terminology is subject to change. It is based on my experience with the game and I tried not to touch things I didn't fully understand.
-So this is by no means completely comprehensive, but it should help people get started.
-I may retread some territory already covered here for the sake of completing a thought.
-In a lot of browsers, if you hover the mouse over a button, in the lower left corner it shows the actual page's URL. Since this is in English, it makes it easier to determine what is what.

Basic Menus / Quests

-Your Endurance/HP is used for running through quests. It either restored by 1) Waiting (2 minutes for 1 HP point) or 2) HP potion to restore (half refills are awarded sometimes in the game, full ones are a micro-transaction)
-BP, which you get 6 of, is used for fighting Raid Bosses that appear in quests and for PvP. You get 1 every 20 minutes or restored by BP potions.
-The left side of the Quest screen lets you select your Chapter and shows how many scrolls you have. Scrolls are randomly collected in quests per chapter. If you get all five you get a prize - click the red button by your scroll progress to see what it will be.
-You can go back and select previous chapters this way if you didn't get them all.

Sub Menu

-Just another way of jumping to certain screens quickly.
-Your User Info will show your ID used for friend requests.
-To the right of your ID is apparently your server, and there are allegedly 3 servers right now. So if your friend requests don't work, that is apparently why.

Title Screen

-It's possible there will be different events later.
-Most of the beginner events you will get naturally, but the less obvious ones:
1) Level up to Max an N (normal) card
2) Make a friend
-Gifts is perhaps better termed as "Rewards" - you can see you get items and money from various things, but to actually claim your prize you have to go here. You can pull them individually, or the first button on the right claims them all. The one under that is just your prize history.

Deck Edit

-The selected Leader effects both ATK and DEF.
-In Skills, it will show 100 percent and 50 percent. The team leader's skill has a 100 percent activation rate. Everyone else has a 50 percent activation rate.
-Auto-Select will just dump in whoever has the highest ATK/DEF without regard for faction/color.
-Each card has a cost. So for your ATK/DEF row, the cards you have cannot exceed your total ATK or DEF cost. You can increase your ATK or DEF cost total when you level up.

Battle (PvP)
-I skipped this since I wasn't sure of some details.
-Basically though, you pick an opponent on the list and fight, using BP using like Raid Bosses.
-You get prizes when you rank up.
-Take with a grain of salt as I don't fully understand: You get battle points every week based on your rank. The ranking resets on Mondays. You then get prizes based on how many battle points you have.

Training

-Locking functions as it does in so many other games - so it also prevents you from selling it or anything else that would get rid of the card.
-It also costs gold to train cards. I believe the first number in the yellow text under the main card's stats is the cost.
-It's worth noting that the initial cost of adding one card for training is higher than adding additional cards after that in one go, so it is more cost efficient to train with 10 at a time (or whatever maximum you can).

Gacha

-Top row needs 1 ticket per go.
-Middle needs 3 medals per go.
-Bottom needs 200 silver per go.
-I am not aware if buying 10 at a time increases your chances of getting anything better (probably not).

Card Album


Cards Held

-There is a maximum to the amount of cards you can hold at a time. If you exceed that amount, if you try to do any major activities, you will be given a screen where you have to either use Training or Sell to get rid of excess cards.
-So remember, even if you hit the limit, you will have all those cards even past the limit, you just won't be able to do certain things until you're back at/below the maximum.

Card Info

-Far as I know changing your card's outfit is purely an aesthetic thing. It corresponds to when you get that cards H scene.
-If you have a card with H scenes but you haven't earned it yet, the corner that lets you play them will instead show you how many levels you have to go on that card to get it.
-Only the really, really rare cards have more than one H scene.

Medal Trade Screen

-Remember that you actually need 3 medals to use the rare Gacha.

A side note: Identifying Skills

-By far most skills are just variants of "increase ally-type atk/def, decrease enemy-type atk/def", so it is easy to figure out by sight before long.
-The only different type I've seen so far is noted here under "Advanced".
-Although I believe some people are using programs to Google translate the text as it comes in.
-Using the Googles on the Japanese wiki works too.
-The first part above its properties is just the skill's name.
-You'll notice by that, it has a level. You can increase a skill's level by 1) training that card to maximum level, then 2) training that maxed out card with a duplicate of that card.
-So yes, to max out a card's skill level, you need more than one of it.

Hot Tips:
-There are three factions - Taimanin (Red), Demons (Blue), and U.S. Forces (Yellow), and a rock-paper-scissors system in place. It is as follows:

Taimanin Beats > Demons. Demons Beats > U.S. Forces. U.S. Forces Beats > Taimanin

-On Raids and PvP, you can pick how much BP to use: 1 does normal damage, 2 does 2.2 times damage, 3 does 4 times damage.
-When you level up, your HP and BP instantly refill. So if you are about to level up it may be a good idea to dump all your BP first on Raid Bosses or PvP.
-When you do level up, you get a screen where you can put +1 into one of three categories: Endurance (HP), ATK Cost Total, or DEF Cost Total. There is also a drop down menu above that, but as far as I can tell selecting something from there does the same thing.
-If I'm not mistaken you can also save your point distribution for later and take care of it on User Info.
-There are two cards you will get as prizes: Kiryu and Fat Soldier Demon. Their card mini icons say EXP and Gold. So Kiryu is used to get a big boost in EXP when Training other cards, and the Fat Soldier Demon sells for 7,000 gold.
(Kiryu, you may remember, is the bad guy professor from Taimanin Murasaki/Hell Knight Ingrid.)
-Keeping in mind I don't fully understand PvP: It is relatively easy to find opponents to kill easily with one BP, so you can get your rank up prizes relatively quickly this way. I should note that I am not aware of if it makes any difference if you kill a higher level player.
-Even if you haven't encountered a Raid Boss yourself, you can still see the button appear and fight ones other players encountered, and help them win. You still get prizes, but what you get depends on how much you do (i.e. the MVP award is only granted if you dealt the most damage to the boss).
-There is a daily log-in bonus, so pop in each day for quick items.

You should add that last hitting the raidboss guarantees a small immediate reward of some silver and gold, which is pretty much what I've been doing =p.

Also do boosters take effect the instant you claim them from gifts?

By boosters, do you mean potions, like the HP and BP ones? No, you have to go to Items to use them (or use when prompted if you run out).

Unless you mean something else. You could be getting something I haven't seen. If it's like the "30 minutes x2" item you can get as a daily log in bonus, I have no idea how that works (I assume that takes effect immediately).

Yes it actually takes affect immediately. Got the arena points X2. and you'll get 2 points instead of 1 if you win a match in that time.

I can't rank up anymore in pvp. Did I hit max or do I have to wait and try other cards out?

I think it's the max for now, got the same thing, but what matters is your Arena Points though.

Now just focusing on maxing cards, haven't spent any rare medals/tickets. 5 Maxed.

I'm working on my 7th character card right now.

I'm hoping to get either an Asagi or Hell Knight Ingrid card. I have normal Ingrid, but not her Hell Knight version.

Asagi is 5 star(or at least one of the versions of her are), really damn rare. If you hadn't noticed yet cost of training scales with level and normal cards cap at lvl.15(meaning around the 30-40 range they'll be worth one level, the same as a lvl.1 normal) so training lower rarity cards to make the XP value better for higher value cards is just too cost inefficient. Since lvl.1 normal cards will round up to one level in training (though at the 30-40+ mark it will take two for one level) it's actually just better to get about 40 of them and train, saving the XP cards for the later training where the little guys won't make enough of a dent and to lower the ridiculous cost of the higher level training sessions.



Saving medals is fine, but I don't think you can spend tickets in bulk, only buy them in bulk so it's best just to use them when you get them I believe. I've also maxed five.

I have too many US Forces when compared to the demons and Taimanins..

9 > 4 > 3

I know. It seems like US forces populate a majority of the lower rarity bracket and Taimanins the reverse (probably connected to their popularity), I don't think I've seen a 5 star US card yet though I'm sure one exists.

According to the Japanese wiki, it breaks down like this:

LR (6*): T-1, D-1, U-1
UR (5*): T-2, D-1, U-2
SR (4*): T-2, D-2, U-2
HR (3*): T-6, D-5, U-5
R (2*): T-7, D-9, U-11
N (1*): T-7, D-10, U-10

Overall: T-25, D-28, U-31

Special cards Kiryu (EXP, T) and Zokuto (GOLD, D) bring the total to 86.

Once I decided I'd go for a Taimanin/U.S. Forces mix, I started getting nothing but Demons. But I will train you, Ingrid, if you want it so badly, oooooh yes...

Goddamit Gatcha Ticket, stop giving me More Rares, I already have enough from Silvers.

13 maxed, caught up in levels, rolling in wealth/tokens and no sodding four star rares. I hate you Kaimax. Raidbosses also get harder the more you defeat, so at some point that well dries up and 6000+ raidbosses appear more frequently who are impossible to solo without 6+ BP.

We really need an event soon, it's getting stale.
I've seen them put a new event banner, but it just went into an error page and the next time I check it, it was gone. I guess they weren't ready?
