It would probably be a tie between Earthbound and Paper Mario

Paper Mario mainly due to nostalgia. Also cause it's funny and has an actual battle system that requires some part with the player other than inputting commands.

Earthbound for more of the same reasons. It's lighthearted, funny, and not over difficult yet not really easy.

My all time favorite is Red Dead Redemption for a number of reasons. First and possibly foremost, is the fact that I played it in 2011 which was a pretty good year for me. But also because it simply is a fantastic game. Beautiful landscapes, a rich world filled with interesting characters even those who are nameless, the Stranger missions were a constant and, quite often, eerie surprise and, overall, it is all about, you guessed it, redemption. Making amends, taking up arms to do the right thing and hope your past doesn't catch up with you. And lastly, John Marston, the protagonist, is one of the best ever written characters because even when his morals shift between good and evil, deep down he's a good guy who is simply trying to go back home.

On the tecnical side, I just wish RDR had survivor mechanics to it. Like for instance, the character would have to eat, drink and rest, the same would go for the mount, not being allowed to carry all weapons, and so on.

My Favorite game of all time is Paper Mario for N64.

I have replay it about over 100 times too date and it's still funny every time.

Maybe Skyrim, roaming, doing lots of things and nothing at the same time. Never actually finished it, I just roamed talking, exploring...
Maybe Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, first MonHun game I played, too good. Tri comes second, but they took down the servers... I need a 3DS :/

Dammit, i can't search for the girl on your sig. I've been layout-blocked ._.

Persona 3, because of addicting gameplay, collecting monsters, great dating-sim elements, and extremely long gameplay. The only flaw I can think of is that the dungeon crawling gets repetitive after a while, but luckily it has the overworld to make up for this.

Honorable mentions:
Devil Survivor
Final Fantasy VII
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Yakuza
Fallout 3
SMT: Strange Journey
Persona 2: Innocent Sin/Eternal Punishment
Pokemon Black/White
Shin Megami Tensei IV
SMT III: Nocturne
Digital Devil Saga/2
Final Fantasy VI
Togainu No Chi
Snow Sakura
Final Fantasy V
Chrono Trigger
Devil Survivor 2

Generally when someone ask me what my favorite game of all time is I tell them Persona 3 FES. To me this game had everything. All of it was top notch, it really left little if any that I wanted to change.

God Hand. It had everything. Comedy, some well-executed drama, funny and likeable characters, amazing soundtrack, and one of the most in-depth combo systems ever to take on one of the most challenging difficulty systems (and overall game) ever.

This took some time to think of. I guess me being a fighting gamer, I would have to go with the Street Fighter series because that's where I started playing fighting games. Now which version of SF I like the most will take a long time to think of since I have more than one.

Parasite Eve.

Interesting story, sexy badass main character, love the music, awesome boss fights, good graphics for the time, loved all of the characters, good yet very challenging extra mode and extra boss.

Will also mention:
LoZ Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask
Portal
Final Fantasy VIII (love others as well but this is one of my all time favorites)
RE orignal
Silent Hill 2 (original is memorable though)
Jak and Dexter
(too many others that I want to list but will end here)

Honestly, Psychonauts. It was deep, comedic, well written, the gameplay was solid and all around Double Fine did a fantastic job on it. I would say that that's the best game I've ever played and my favorite.

Runner up: Portal (the original). The game was fun, functioned well and had overall great execution. Hearing "The cake is a lie" for nearly 7 years made it lose its number 1 position.

Honorable mentions:
Killer 7
Final Fantasy IX
Fallout 3
Just Cause 2
inFamous
Crysis 2
Half-Life
Team Fortress 2
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Old World Blues DLC (And only that DLC, not the rest of New Vegas)

Okage: The Shadow King. Beautiful and wonderfully eccentric characters in the game and a funny story about a boy who is literally overshadowed. One of my most memorable games.

I got several on my list from over the years, but Devil May Cry 3 will always be my number one most faved game ever. I remember playing both the original and the Special Edition releases for over 100 + hours for each versions on the PS2, just experimenting and trying to master the endless variety combat system it had. No other game had me hooked on combat in hack and slash since.

A close second will be Xenogears, the story, music and the fighting system made that game a masterpiece back when Square was king in good RPGs. The only other good game close to its standards had to be Vagrant Story, the music, story and depth was ahead of its time for the PS1.

Speaking of good rpgs, Shadow Hearts 1 and its sequel, Covenant, were two of my top PS2 rpgs, alongside the Xenosaga trilogy.

There are so, so, so many titles I feel I could not live without, but I will admit that I do give one series more love than most: The Thief series.

Every year or so since 2005, I do a ghost+pacifist run through all 3, with the self implement rule of if I'm seen even once I start back at the first game and do them over all again. I just get such a rush skulking through the shadows, taking everything in sight with every enemy awake, alert, and out to kill me.
