Honestly, Psychonauts. It was deep, comedic, well written, the gameplay was solid and all around Double Fine did a fantastic job on it. I would say that that's the best game I've ever played and my favorite.

I'd put Psychonauts in my top 5, that's for sure. Only reason it doesn't beat out the best in my list is because I rushed through the game, so I couldn't really take it all in. I'll be sure to give it a replay one day though.

As for what Psychonauts couldn't beat out, I'd say the aforementioned God Hand, Okami, Persona 4 and perhaps FTL: Faster Than Light (I really need to give my top games a better go through and ranking, lol).

My favourite game of all time is probably Master of Magic.

Second would be Europa Universalis 3.

This is a hard choice. If I could only pick one it would have to be kirby's dream course.

Honorable mention

Megaman X2

Like some previous posts on here I don't think I can pick just one. Actually I might have more than five.

First would have to be Kingdom Hearts (any of them with the exception of Chain of Memories)(Also 3D and Birth By Sleep: Haven't beat them yet.).

Why? Well putting Disney with Final Fantasy characters is something that caught my attention right away. I mean you were fighting along side Donald and Goofy which (in my book) was a huge plus. Also it's nostalgic in KH2 where you went to the old school Disney.

Second would probably be Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time (did you see that coming?). I saw my brother play this game constantly so it kinda pushed me to try it out to see what it was all about and boy oh boy did I get into something that would change my gaming experience at the time (granted that I had a Gamecube when I was playing n64 games), nevertheless the N64 was the best thing to happen to me.

Third would be Super Smash Bros. Melee. I played the first one which was a favorite but this game had a better selection (maps) and cast. Plus the technique behind every character and wave dash drew me in even more. Also one of my high school friends and I played this game religiously after school everyday. It was addicting up until Brawl.

Fourth has to be Katamari Damacy. My brother actually introduced me to it instead of just me watching him play (which is how some of my old nostalgic/retro games got into my life) which was honestly the best new game I've ever played at the time (when I found out about the game). The game was different which is one the the reasons why I like it...that and the music (lol). Never had I heard something as catchy as the music on that game.

Fifth game would be Shadow Of The Colossus. Now this game I found out by myself at Best Buy. Why do I like this game? Ha! EVERYTHING! The music, the story, the atmosphere, the horse, the weapons (if you beat the time trial), the enemies, and even the timing! This game I can honestly say I played A LOT! I beat this game so many time my stamina is as big as a fist! So yeah...this game was addicting. This game was also apart of my life.

Sixth game is Mario 64. Just like the situation with L.O.Z.O.T. I got into it because I saw my bro play it a lot. So one day I got the game (two years ago for 15 dollars) and started playing it again for old time sakes. The game was cool. It was just...I don't know cool. Jumping into the painting of your favorite map and hearing the music in that or riding the shell or getting the metal armor for the music too. God...so many memories.

I'll stop here for now and post some more. Lol

Definitely Kingdom Hearts. A good friend of mine (the same friend who introduced me to Anime) let me have his copy and I adored the whole game. The concept of love and friendship being the plot of the game may seem cheesy up front, but Square did it so well, making Kingdom Hearts my favorite series of all time.

Shadow of the Colossus - I LOVE this game! Just the beauty of the world alone would make me ride across it for hours. The Colssi themselves are jaw dropping when you see them for the first time you see them. And each one is unique and are so epic to fight! The music is fantastic! It give all the events in the game more emotion, it one of the greatest soundtracks ever! This is not just my favorite game ever but my favorite piece of art ever.

Life 4 the dead, killing zombie is always fun

I would have to say starfox64, even though I'm terrible at it. It was the first real video game I've ever played and I freaking love it.

Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town.

I was 9 or 10 when it came out, and massively obsessed with the GBA (always loved handheld gaming), I remember my mom buying it for me at Toys R Us. I don't remember what made me want it, but I got it, and subsequently lost hundreds of hours of my life to it.

I don't know exactly why it was so appealing to me, just that it's incredibly relaxing and nostalgic for me now.

I still remember taking it out of the shrink wrap.

Runners up for the title: Radiata Stories, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Halo 1 & 2, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

On a sidenote, it kind of makes me sad that Rune Factory has far surpassed the HM series of late, but not very much because it means I get to play them which I'm sure my younger self would have been ecstatic for.

I think the game I will remember forever as my personal favorite is Killer7, because it's unique and original like nothing else. Also, Disgaea (PSP version) that took about 450-500 hours of my life (no regrets) and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, the best 2D fighting game ever.

My favorite game hands down is Skyrim since I wasted over 400 hours on it. I just wish now I could get it for PS4 since gave my 360 and copy of Skyrim to my brother.

It has to be a tie between Final Fantasy X and VIII. I found X to have a great battle system and an addicting leveling up system and the plot, characters and music hit all the right notes. I relate more with Squall's character though.

Honorable mentions:

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Castlevania Order Of Ecclesia.
Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright Justice For All
Ghost Trick Phantom Detective
Tales Of Symphonia
Golden Sun
Silent Hill 4 The Room

My favorite game; choosing a favorite x is such a hard, nay harrowing, thing. I have a few favorites. They are:

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time- This game introduced me into games. This was the first game I truly played, although because of my pusillanimity, I never finished it until I was older. I remember playing this game and, when in the Sacred Meadow or Lost Woods, thinking how mysterious it was. The atmosphere was ethereal and darkly beguiling. That memory still resonates with me. The ambience is even more poignant on the N64 because of its graphics. I own three versions of this game—N64, Gamecube (with Master Quest), and the 3DS version—and am eagerly anticipating a 3DS version of Majora's Mask.

Shadow of the Colossus- This game is marvelous; the emptiness and minimalism in it is dumbfounding. The bosses are so grandiose, and that's what makes them fun and alluring.

Portal 2- The game was jocular and amiable. The graphics were polished and ensorcelling. It was overall a lighthearted game.

Arkham City- It improved from its predecessor and gave me many hours in attempts to get all the achievements, as I did in Arkham Asylum. The gameplay was by far the greatest aspect of this game and why I loved it.

Legacy of Goku II (GBA game)- I don't know why I prefer this over Buu's Fury, but there's something about it that I can't put my finger on. I haven't played this game in years. This is the first game of the Legacy of Goku series that my brother and I played. I've played all three. The first is horrible, and, although I know it won't happen, I feel that it should be redone to match up with the gameplay of the other two. The third was great as well, but I just like Legacy of Goku II better.

Finally, I want to say Dark Souls only because the second one has come out, and I really want to play it.

Ecchi-sama Vanilla Essence
For me it's definitely Final Fantasy X. It was the first RPG I seriously played and by that I mean, I was old enough to really understand the game's story and it's characters. I loved the battle system and the music. My goodness the music was amazing, in my opinion Final Fantasy X's music was as good as Shadow of the Colossuses music.

Devil May Cry 3

Why? Because I was young and it didn't gave me a reason not to like it. I don't question baby me.

My favorite game is
Monster hunter
Because its a game me and my friends play together since we were young so it holds a special place in my heart

Persona 3 probably. its the game that helped me grow the most. crisis core is a close second, i quote it all the time. after that final fantasies and dark souls. (this is excluding visual novels btw)

Fire Emblem, mainly because I love strategy games. The latest one is exceptionally good and has one of the few characters I consider to be a top tier Waifu for me. Either that or The Legend of Zelda, it is really really hard to pick. If Zelda in Skyward Sword didn't melt your heart there is something wrong.

I also like Smash Bros melee, Monster Hunter, Pre-reboot Devil May Cry, and Mario Kart. If you were to order all of the above in terms of playtime, Smash bros Melee is #1, followed by monster hunter, then DMC, then Mario Kart.

There are a few more I really like but there are just so many games out there.

Tough choice. I can't simply have just one, but for different genres I can pick out a few.

Action/Adventure: A Link to the Past, a timeless classic. I could play it for the rest of my life, assuming my SNES holds up. Numerous dungeons, well crafted puzzles, bosses that beat the shit outta you if you weren't careful, it's the high point of the Zelda series for me.

FPS: Deus Ex, the first one although dated, was engaging, difficult, and rather open ended for an FPS. Made me think outside the box, not just with the gameplay, but with the philosophy behind the entire game itself. Only gripe would be that the Tranq Darts aren't very tranquil.

Western RPG: Tied between Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect, Bioware just can craft beautiful stories with what they're given. Very dialogue heavy, which is what I like, and both games are just filled to the brim with extra lore, which adds to the immersion.

JRPG: Tales of Symphonia, My first JRPG (not counting Pokemon), and arguably the best out of the Tales franchise, a beautiful story, a well designed battle system, large and expansive worlds you could traverse, something I miss from later Tales games.

Platformer: Banjo Kazooie, No contest here, Rareware always made the best platformers.

Simulator: X-Wing Alliance, While the X Series by Egosoft is much more immersive and detailed, the X-Wing series of games by Lucasarts were always a favourite of mine. Nothing like plugging in a joystick and running rings around Tie Fighters in a Correllian YT-1300.

Fighting: Guilty Gear X2: Don't know what it is about Guilty Gear that appeals to me really, it's fun, fast paced, and rocking.

RTS: Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, Hands down, my favourite RTS of all time. Countless hours of my childhood were spent playing my older brother's copy. Always loved huddling down behind walls mass-producing longbowmen until I had enough to steamroll my way across the map.

So yeah, there's my favourites

Osu! Simply because it doesn't require any thinking at all, just concentration. I keeps me distracted so so well.
