@Xenon If I remove my waifus off my sig then I'll cry... ;_;

Haha, that made me laugh. You don't have to remove it, just have in that spoiler containing your portfolio thread your stories and their current chapters with dates and just update that instead of a portfolio thread.

Isn't it fine the way it is?

?_?

Also, my sig actually reached the limit of the 200 characters... ^_^""

Do what you want since it's already done, I just think it makes more sense than a portfolio thread. Many popular Fakku users put their favorite threads or ones they created and worked hard on in their sig. If you've reached your limit, then that should tell you that too much is in it and to clean it up a little. While you love whatever is in it, most people don't even check it. Often times the smallest ones are the most impacting. I found J's older single quote awesome. I think it went something along the lines of; "I play many roles in my life. My favorite is the lover, the easiest is the villain." I'm not sure if that's someone's or his, but it's great enough to have me remember it that closely.

I personally believe a story, one that has chapters, deserves its own thread. That may push back other stories accordingly, but if the author wants attention, they may say so in their sig. A collection of translated joke short stories should be in one thread, no offense meant to the author. Also, poems and the like should probably be compiled in one thread if the author intends to submit many on occasion. However, I see very little point for portfolio threads of all general writings. You have a signature, heaven forbid you use it for your collection of accomplished written story threads instead of that precious waifu claim-to-Fakku-fame. Any updates could be included within your sig with a date to let people know when you post.

QFT is really all I can say about that.

Added to OP FT.

Fingers crossed for a sticky from everyone's favorite bear...

Thank you for the quote.

To clarify something on what I previously said, I don't want to sound like I don't support portfolio threads, I just don't want people to post twice, bumping their story thread AND bumping their portfolio thread to say they bumped their story thread. I actually find Jericho's portfolio thread to be an amazing representation of what one should be like, also the one that Neoro~n did.

Accomplished Writing section VIPs with many stories, like Jerry, need one, but I personally do not in my eyes since I've only submitted two stories and they were contest entries. Hope that clears things up.

I thought that if people had collection threads, then they wouldn't need a separate thread for their story.

Doesn't that completely defeat the point?

Thank you for your kind understanding.

To reiterate what I said in my quote, I personally feel that most individual stories deserve their own threads and that's where comments to respective stories especially belong to remove confusion. A collection of short stories or poems belong in their own singular respective thread because of how numerous they tend to be. A portfolio thread is a thread that should likely never be commented on because it should contain links to appropriate threads to their respective stories which comments should go into. Jerry's is like that for everything he's got. You take your approach to it for your stories but the way comments work can be confusing.

The point being I'm sure people don't want double bumps so if you have a portfolio thread that links to other threads, don't bump it yourself and if you edit a story or add a new chapter, sig it like mibu does (did, lol). That's my personal preference, but people are entitled to their own.

I actually agree with it, I think that stories/proses should have their individual threads, I can always add it on my portfolio, but then, it may not get any special feedbacks since its present with the other stories as well.

Fuck. I just realized that in my point about grammar, I made a grammatical typo. Can't edit it without de-stickying either.
