Because translators translate the name differently and uploaders don't do a double check of authors since they can't read japanese.
Example: Arima Jin and Arima Zin are one and the same. But because the translators read the name one way it came out as two different artists.

i was wondering why here was no "favorite artist" this adds some info on the matter. but also is a problem that can be resolved, havind an artist be know by many "labels" aka "names" but a single internal ID implemented somewhere internaly in the system.
