edit: I expected someone to (at least) mention Gantz, Afro Samurai, Jigoku Shoujo, Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien and NHK ni Youkoso!. I guess, besides the ones already mentioned till now, these are my honorable mentions. |
Afro Samurai was a little short to get addicted to. 5 episodes and a movie got over in like 3 days for me. If the series had been longer, I suppose I would have gotten addicted.

I dont know but I usually watch some pointless anime repeatingly
Lucky star - watched it 4 times already
Minami ke - watched it 3 times
Azumanga Daioh, Hayate no Gotoku, Pani Poni Dash and all those weird and pointless slice of life shows.
Shows like Code Geass and story heavy ones, i tend to only watch it once....does not feel motivated for a second run.

3. Touch. The beginning was not too bad, but once you start to get to the runs for Koushien, and the deeper drama that the series develops as it goes along it becomes hard to just watch one a week, let alone one an hour. I'm glad I was able to watch it as fast as I wanted to or I would have been driven crazy waiting 2 years to see the climax.
2. Ookiku Furikabutte, but only the game arc. That game was soo addicting, but without taking a whole day you cannot watch it in one go. So no matter how hard I try I always need to put it aside to try to focus on something else... it never works.
1. Kenichi. I would have to say that it is one of the most addicting series I have watched in a long time. How it's written you really want to root for Kenichi as he is forced to fight his way through delinquents all the while he doesn't want to. That sort of internal conflict and fear he continually must overcome always draws me in. If I do watch it I can almost never watch just 3 eps, and one of these days I swear someone is going to find me doing a yamazaki to a wall after an all night marathon.
There are others that also deserve honorable mention, and some that might be higher on the list, but I really wanted to get some different anime out there than have already been mentioned. Like TTGL. |
Oooooh sports animes. I absolutely love sports animes (well, the serious ones at least. I cannot stand Eyeshield21 D: ) and so I will definetely be checking those 3 out.

Code Geass
Bleach (only up to first +-70 episodes)
Fate/Stay Night (it was probably the fastest and craziest run through any anime of any time - but I've watched it before playing the VN)

5. GTO - Love it. It's quite lengthy to watch it all, but WTH, I enjoy watching. And rewatching it.
4. .hack//Sign - This one is my popsicle. I like the soundtrack, I love the story, I like the yuri ending. Yummy ^_^
3. Black Lagoon - The only reason I keep watching and rewatching it is that it places GUNS with TRIGGER-HAPPY FEMALES and AWESOME and KICKASS and AMUSING in the same boat.
2. Rental Magica - Until now I've been wondering just why I keep rewatching this. Maybe it's magic, but anyway, I still like it nevertheless ^_^
1. Minami-Ke (all three reiterations) - Pretty fun. Innocent fun, and to think it's full of kids and a few collegiates and a few other characters, but I like watching the daily misadventures of the Minami sisters ^_^

3. Honey & Clover - Definitely my favorite romance anime. I loved almost every aspect of it, the characters, the story, the characters, the sheer magnitude of the awesome.
2. .Hack//Sign - I loved it! I loved it with a freakish obsession I did!
1. Cowboy BeBop - This is pretty self explanatory.

3) Ghostory (over Evangelion) - it came down to Ghostory making want to read Medaka Box, UroUro, and Zaregoto, whereas Evangelion didn't really make me want anything past the anime.
2) Code Geass - watched it subbed, watched it dubbed, buying the limited editions ...
1) Pokemon - Hey, I'm still watching it without missing a single episode or movie or special.

Full Metal Panic. Have watched the entire series in English and Japanese 3times each.
Spice and Wolf. Economics is boring, except if you throw in a cute wolf goddess falling for a mere mortal, imo.
Rurouni Kenshin. Awesome musical score.

Anime
3. Basquash
Reason:
Basketball + Mechas + Legends + Rouge = Epic
2. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (TTGL)
Reason:
Do you need a reason for the best, over-the-top, hyper anime?
1. Clannad
Reason: An anime that has far surpassed the VN (which is extremely rare to happen) in terms of emotion, drama, comedy, angst and music, this is still my favorite anime.
Special Mention:
One Piece: I'm more into the manga, really. But when something epic is gonna happen in the anime (like a fight, or drama), you know you gotta watch the episodes, since emotion goes over the top when it comes to One Piece Anime.
Vandread: Aside from the Gundam series and TTGL, Vandread is really a must-watch for the mecha fans. It's a series where the dub version isn't ruined and it's also good. But, like always, the subbed version is always the best when it comes down to it.

Those were amazingly addictive, weren't they? I'll take those as well for 3 and 2 respectively, but number 1 is Trigun. An amazing combination of good soundtrack, coupled with great characters and an unusual plot make this a shoe-in for me (Plus it introduced me to anime from regular, plotless saturday-morning cartoons, my first, if you will).
