The first Summer Writing Contest held in this year has finally come to an end after the winners were chosen by us, the judges!
This is the moment people have been waiting for, the three winners of the very first, Summer Writing Contest!
First Place Winner: KuronekoChan
Congratulations to KuronekoChan, for winning the First Place with your excellent entry, In Her Nature which was deemed to the best among all the other entries that were submitted. You will be receiving Nikon's great prizes: Ma Ma Boxed Set (Vol 1 + 2), A Wish of My Sister and Terminatrix. Please send a private message (PM) to Nikon and inform him of your location and address so that he can send you your prizes!
You shall also be able to have YQII has also offered to translate as many as 60 pages of hentai-manga or doujinshi of your choosing(a surplus of a few pages are okay), in terms of those that are normal like any other hentai manga or doujinshi. However, regarding the works with see-through speech-bubbles, those will be counted as double pages; i.e.: 5 such pages will counted as 10 towards the limit of 60 pages. This only applies if most or all bubbles are see-through and if there's a few see-through—there's usually a few see-through bubbles in most works, which is fine. To get an idea of what's being spoken of, please check this out, for examples for see-through speech-bubbles, check this one out too! Remember that is has to be Fakku friendly work, in other words, contents cannot contain: scat, guro, loli, etc. As this is a Fakku contest and that all the works that will be translated will be uploaded in this site.
And finally, KuronekoChan shall be crowned with the special title of "FAKKU Writer" by Jacob!
Second Place Winner: Xenon
Congratulations, Xenon for winning the Second Place of this contest for your great entry, The Capriciousness of Youth! FUKE, will also be translating one piece of Fakku friendly work for you, something all of the users can enjoy. Any work around 30 pages should be alright but if there is a lot of text that number may be reduced.
And from Nikon, you will be receiving: Genmuran Boxset (Vol 1 + 2), on DVD and Kei Mizutani: Undressed for Success on DVD.
Third Place Winner: El Chacal
Congratulations to El Chacal, for winning the third place of this contest! Nikon will be sending you Class Reunion Boxset (Vol 1 + 2) on DVD.
--------------------------------
Once again, congratulations to all the winners, well done! I'd like to thank all of those who have entered the contest too, for making this contest a great success as well as making it more fun and competitive! I'm quite certain that all of you have ways to go and so do I, I believe all of you received experiences, critiques and memories that all of you will cherish for the times to come. I also hope and request for all of you to stick around the Writing and Fanfiction forum, continue to write and post your writings and of course, commenting and reviewing others' works. And of course, do visit next June of 2013 for the next Summer Writing Contest if you do end up leaving this place somehow! On a related note: Do visit the Fakku Writers' Lounge if you'd like to chat with the other writers and have some fun times with them.
I also hope that it was as enjoyable and beneficial as it was to us judges. As all three of us, tsuyoshiro, Waar and I had a lot of fun judging and had a great time reading the entries. Once again, thank you, all, for your participation!
If you'd like us to review your entry: We know that if not all of you, then most, would love to know what we think of your entry and may want us to provide feedbacks, comments, reviews, criticisms, etc. Just send whichever Judge you'd like to receive words from or mention here in this thread and we'll be replying via PM or in your entry's thread really soon!
May the rest of this year contain more fun events for all of us in this forum!

There are some who claim that there is nothing more devastating than losing in a contest, but we all know that isn't really true. Most of us are used to losing a bet or a wager like this every once in a while and are able to take it in stride, but what really hurts is coming so close to winning that you make it into this section. Honorable mentions follow below, a list of crafty and clever writers who managed to impress each and every one of us with their stories. ....Just not enough. They weren't quite 'Top 3' material, but we all saw that there was something special in these tales, and that deserves mentioning. Thanks again to all for entering, please feel free to send us messages and ask for personal scores. Note that we will not mince words, so be sure you want to hear it first.

I really appreciate the patience and trust the members of the writing section gave me, you may not have chosen me as a judge but no one left the site as a result. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did, I saw it as a bit of a chore along with my other Fakku duties(cleaning up the Fakku toilet that is IB), but as time went on I began to enjoy myself, and I found some really great stories. I don't think I can ever forget some of the work I saw here this year, and I think leaving a long lasting impression is the most any author can hope for. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this Fakku, and thank you as well Cinia.

Of course, congratulations to the winners. I will see if I can drop in one or two posts in your entries, congratulating you and perhaps remarking on your work.

I appreciate the time the judges took into responsibly reading and grading all of our entries. The real victory here is the feedback we all receive on our work, so I welcome the thoughts on mine, however blunt or otherwise. I'd especially like to thank Waar for taking a lot of time out of his moderator duties (while moving, no less, which I've been doing as well) to help breathe some life into this section. I sincerely hope we maintain these active users that have devoted so much time since the contest started. Thank you to Coffee and Blaze specifically for reviewing so many works while I've been too busy in my life to do so.

Okay here's a personal note from me. Even though I didn't win or even get the honorable mention at all, it's really a pleasure being able to participate with you guys here. From being in this event I learned the style of writing and genres that might particularly suit me or not, or how should I develop my own stories in order to make full use of my latent potentials. It also opens up a gateway for me in order to enjoy my endeavors in writing as much as possible, it's fun being with you bastards here and hope you'll continue on making fruitful contributions to this section in the future =)

Congrats you guys and also to all those in the Honorable Mentions. I was surprised that I managed to make it into that section myself. Honestly, I was more interested in the custom title of Fakku Writer than I was any of the prizes, since I don't have a lot of good hiding spots in my house and I don't have any mangas/doujins that I absolutely wish were translated.
On that note, I am still available for reviews if anyone wants them and I'm still asking for reviews on my work, judges or otherwise. While I had a few reviews, they were written before I added in a major edit. The link for my story is above with the other Honorable Mentions.

If I may ask for the judges reviews for my writing https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=91396, Whenever they may have a chance. It would probably be super beneficial to me to hear what you all thought on the writing. Thanks for your time!
And Congrats again for everyone's participation! Super fun, let's do it again real soon!

Considering they both have under ten posts, they probably registered to participate in this contest exclusively, but I did the same thing when I joined. I just stuck around and I hope they do too. They clearly know how to write well.

I've actually been with the site since last year, I just never did anything on a forum. Anywhere. Ever. (Seriously) I was checking the original post of the Summer Writing contest because that is where I thought the update would be as that was where the list of participants was posted. So, truly, I am clueless. ^_^0
I look forward to the next contest!

Well... it's more of a shame that they seem to log in everyday but doesn't seem to check up on this section or the thread in which the winners are announced.
