[Anime] Koutetsujou no Kabaneri

It's not terrible, watch it.

Obvious Attack On Titan clone though.

Story is about zombies that are hard to kill and trying to survive, like every other zombie movie.

I realized I've been criticizing anime for not being original too often, which makes it harder to enjoy them, this one is definetly no exception.

The OST (esp the OP and ED), as well as the visuals are the only things that's keeping me in

This show looks pretty good like Ufotable's 3DCG garbage the released this summer but in 2D.

I don't have a problem with originality if I can enjoy it. At least it's not based on anything which is refreshing.

It honestly feels to me like the guys who adapted AoT wanted to try it again without being tied to...problematic source material. I'm finding it better in just about every way, and love the MC. He's like hardcore Edward Elric.

I feel like if this had come out first, AoT wold look like a mediocre version of it.

This is what happens when you put Mikasa (SnK) and Krusche (Ar Tonelico) in a blender, and make the result a FFT Machinist.

Will keep an eye on this show, don't care if it's a spiritual sequel to SnK.

I got hooked from the first episode, like someone said above, MC was like Edward Elric. Now I realise he and the other female lead are just retards, the series is just another sub-par pile of shit after such a strong start. -sigh.
Only thing keeping me here is the OP and the hope that the series will redeem itself.

edit after i finish the series: it was a huge pile of shit.

This is actually the only series I'm interested in this season - wanted to like Macross Delta, but I hate how they added AKB (knock-offs) to it. Damn Japanese idol culture is ruining everything...

Anyway! Yeah, Koutetsujou is just an Attack on Titan knock off (I'm not the only one who noticed?), but I think it's still pretty entertaining. Main character is a doofus, but Mumei is great. I doubt they're going to wrap it all up in one season, so here's hoping for a second.
