Answers to the most common questions related to books. Note that the following applies to books published directly by FAKKU, and the information listed here may vary for other partners. You can always check the Publisher field on any piece of content to find out who is responsible for the release, and if you have a question/issue with it, it's always best to contact the publisher of the product directly.
Prices/Specifications
What do FAKKU Books cost?
Paperback editions are $24.95, and digital editions are $12.95. All prices are in USD.
Why do some paperback editions cost more?
A few books are more expensive to print—for instance by having a large number of color pages—and are therefore priced at $29.95/$14.95.
Artbooks (such as Milkyway) are typically full color and twice the size of a regular release (A4), and are therefore priced at $39.95.
Lastly, while the prices listed above are the norm, please note that some variation may occur for certain titles.
Does the Paperback+Digital offer work when buying from other distributors?
No, the free digital bonus is only available when buying directly from FAKKU.
What other distributors carry physical FAKKU titles?
Right Stuf, Powell's, Archonia, Amazon, United Publications (UK).

For paperbacks, what are the dimensions of the books?
A5, which is 148 × 210 millimeters or 5.83 × 8.27 inches. The books are 20-25 millimeters or around an inch thick.
In other words, identical to the Japanese versions.
Do paperbacks come with a dust cover/jacket?
Yes. We mimic the original design, and the jacket could be glossy, matte, embossed, etc.
For digital editions, what resolutions and file formats are available?
Digital editions are available both in x2600 and x3200 vertical resolution, and can be downloaded as PDFs or as zip archives with image files. There might be occasional exceptions to this depending on the source materials, but these are usually noted in the work's description.
Do digital editions come with any digital rights management (DRM)?
No, the files you download are completely DRM-free, regardless of format.

Can I suggest a title for FAKKU to localize?
Yes, by posting in the Suggestion Topic.
Is any content removed, altered, or otherwise censored?
No, with the exception of being in English and uncensored, our releases are identical to the original versions.
Is the content officially licensed?
Yes! Everything on the site is licensed, meaning the original creators in Japan are compensated.
Where can I see the current status for all books?
In the Release & Reprint Status topic.
How often are new books released?
We currently aim to have a new title out every two weeks. 23 books were released in 2018, and 25 in 2019/2020.
How long does it take for the digital/paperback to come out?
The first digital chapter is released a week after the pre-order starts, and the rest over the course of a week.
Download links go up a week after the release of the first chapter.
The shipping dates for paperback vary, but it's typically 2-3 months after the pre-order.

I bought a book but can't access it.
Generally it should take 2 - 3 minutes for the payment to process and the digital edition of a book to be granted to your account. Any longer than that and there is probably a problem. Send an email to store@fakku.net and include your Order ID number from the email you received from FAKKU.
How do I change my mailing address on a pre-order before it ships?
Go to your Order History on the store, click "View Order Information" for the order, and then click "Edit Shipping Address".
I found a typo in a book. How do I report it?
Use the contact form and submit it as "Report Grammar / Spelling Mistake."
