FAKKU Books Poll #2 - Yamatogawa

Earlier this year, we brought back a number of fan favorite artists with our release of Comic Koh Vol.1. One of those artists is hentai legend Yamatogawa, and as the year comes to a close, we're thrilled to announce that we have a lot more Yamatogawa coming your way!

We are proud to announce that FAKKU has acquired the rights to Yamatogawa's entire body of work; six full book releases spanning over a decade.

We've already decided on our first release, the author's second book and what we believe is one of their most iconic titles: Witchcraft! You can already pre-order it, as you only have to wait a little over a month for it to come out in early January. For more into on this title, check this discussion topic.

However, for our next release, we've once again decided to leave that decision to the community.

You can vote to decide the order of which books we publish next, until the polls close on December 15th. The title with the most votes at the end of that period is scheduled to be released in summer/fall of 2019. We also reserve the rights to swap any planned title should the artist release a brand new book at any point (as we will be publishing it). In this case, we'll still do the old title at a later date.

Aqua Bless (2007)
Short Description: This collection of stand-alone stories includes a girl "suffering" from sexual telepathy, an appropriate double chapter with two twins, a hero show definitely not suitable for children, and many more wacky stories. Yamatogawa's style of comedy is already well-established in this debut title.



TayuTayu (2009)
Short Description: We meet a boy who moved to Tokyo 8 years ago, but when his parents flies overseas for work, he's forced to move back to the countryside to look after their house. There, he's reunited with two girls from his childhood, and we get to follow this love triangle in an 11 part series.



Taihen Yoku Dekimashita? (2009)
Short Description: Starts off with a 70 page story about a guy trying to balance studying for this entrance exams with the demands of his passionate girlfriend. While some of the remaining oneshots stick to school setting, we also experiment with virtual reality, bondage, cat burglary, and more.



Power Play! (2012)
Short Description: A struggling game developer's world gets turn upside-down when his isekai creation comes alive—and he's the main bad guy. If you're a fan of Sara from Witchcraft, you're in luck! She's back again in a different role, this time as the heroine of this fantasy-themed tale of swords and sorcery.



Vanilla Essence (2015)
Short Description: The latest release from Yamatogawa contains a series of oneshots, from voyeurism and summery pool play, to steamy school trips and wintery stargazing. Variety might be the spice of life, but the one thing all these chapters have in common is their sugary sweet filling.



Any title we decide to work on will be done completely by us, and have the same high quality that you've come to expect from a FAKKU Books release.

Didn't think you'd pursue stuff that was already licensed twice before like Aqua Bless and Witchcraft.

I'm guessing the license or publishing rights from Project H are expiring (at least physical?)

so it makes sense you guys would pick this up now and remaster it to a much higher quality

no offense to Project H's translation it was perfectly fine

They were just dated in terms of the picture quality, hell I bought Tayu Tayu and it was pretty great (in terms of girls and sex), very vanilla harem like as far as the genre goes

Thanks for saving Yamatogawa's works now that you already have rights to his/her issues

I like that you can see the art improvements of the covers as the years progress.
Not that they're in any way bad, just noticeable style changes.

Interesting, I thought Tayu Tayu or Vanilla Essence would be in the lead but Power Play? I guess everyone really is tired of the usual Vanilla we've been getting or maybe its because of the fact that its an isekai story.

Already own Witchcraft and Power Play. Awesome manga and it would serve the artist right to get published with FAKKU! standards.

With that said, please set up shop in Europe so I can buy physical without all the shipping costs. I guarantee I'll buy anything you release day1. (already am doing that, but I mean manga instead of digital)

Yamatogawa is my favorite Hentai artist. Own his editions from Icarus Publishing (which were low quality), the low quality and high(er) quality printings from Project-H... do I get 3rd/4th copies? Of course. :p

I heard he had a space/alien project in the works, but it has been years and haven't heard anything. Anyone have better sources?

Personal ramblings aside:

Of all his works, Power Play is my favorite, and has my vote for the next release.

Could you please pursue shirts and posters? :D

Hopefully the stronger success of Fakku can encourage Yamatogawa to release new works!

Excellent news! I can't wait ^^ Tayu Tayu is my favorite, and has my vote for the next release.

I feel all sorts of conflict right now. On one hand, I already own all of these English, uncensored. However, I would like the heavier paper quality which Fakku provides. I also find myself wishing I had not made the purchases at Project H, so I would not have doubles, and since space is tight as it is. Like many in my position, additionally, I also don't want it enough to buy all of the copies all over again. Will there be any bonus content in any of these besides what those of us who purchased from Project-H may already have access to?

I think I already know this one is a pass for me- I guess it just feels odd that there are so many books I enjoy which I will not be getting from Fakku. It just feels like an incomplete collection without them.

So, how much for the jackets, so I can wrap them around my Project H versions?

Sweet that all these Yamatogawa books are getting picked up. I recall that 1 or 2 of these books (I think it was Tayu Tayu?) were censored by Project H because they had incest (back when they were still censoring incest) and I never picked them up for that reason. I plan on picking all of these up anyway since they won't be censored and will be in higher quality, but I'd like to see either Tayu Tayu or Taihen Yoku Dekimashita? released next.

Tayu tayu still has the twincest. I think all 6 that project h books are intact. They censored the sex in a lot of the other titles and cut loli scenes but the incest which tayu tayu barely had really(kiss after cumshot) is the same as the fanscan.

Now there color extras missing from the Japanese tanks, but I don't think any of my copies are censored or main content removed.

Actually I just checked and none of the books has any incest outside tayu tayu little scene of sis on sis jizz kiss. In the first chapter color pages.

I can confirm, from buying the digital version, that Tayu Tayu was not the one that was censored
(although Project H did have inconsistencies with censoring/uncensoring things in the same volume of their other books)

Either way I welcome and kind of expected Fakku to pick up Project H's slack on Yamatogawa's books (hopefully more will come in the future)

Maybe it was the ages they changed/censored? Either way, it's been a while and I can no longer find the source of information I got said information from, and if anything did get censored/changed it was probably reverted in the newer editions. I remember Project H put the angel chapter back in the 2nd edition of Cute Devil Girlfriend.

Anyway, it's nice I'll finally be getting Tayu Tayu and Taihen Yoku Dekimashita?
