A List Of Reps

Do the Admins/Mods have a log of who +/- reps someone? It would be useful to ban people who are constantly derepping for no reason.

The admins have the rep log and knows who +/- rep who. Problem is, it's the user's choice on how they want to use it. I don't think Jacob has much authority over controlling how they rep people but he should be able to help somehow.

Meh. It's happened a few times to me. If it happens, it happens. Nothing you can really do.

If you ask me they should do something about it since they're just abusing their right to +rep or -rep someone.

You can't +/- rep a person more than once in a row, so saying that it's done by one person may be a premature conclusion.

Unless that person +/- reps ANOTHER person just to +/- the intended target, than that's a problem, and that person needs a life.

People should be allowed to use their rep as they please; hell, I lose random reps daily. I've learned it's all a part of the fakku life.

Well if you have someone who seems to just take the time to -rep someone after every 24 hour limit, I find that way too excessive and abusive, one example would have to be M2991 I'm sure not a lot of people like him but the guy was constantly -rep'd on a daily basis. :|

Edit: You know what I'm gonna add to this... I'm actually getting -rep'd now each day on posts that don't even deserve it... -__-

Just throwing this out there, but admins are the only ones who can see that list. Mod's cannot.

How many people actually care about their reps?

Even if it is someone who does it daily, and consistantly, it is their right to do so. As long as they aren't cheating the system then they are free to use it however they see fit. Showing the users the Rep log will only cause huge controversy.

Yeah, I was losing rep every day before Jacob changed it...now it's just every other day. It's clearly the same person as it's only happening on the same post that wasn't offensive to anyone until apparently weeks after I made it. Currently I just have to deal with it and hope people like what I have to say just to maintain a balance, which in my mind kills the whole point of having a rep system.

more accurately, you cannot rep a person more than 2 time in a row. You must rep another person first then go back to rep the first person.

I think the rep system works best in that no one, other than admins, can see it. Imagine if you saw the person giving you negative rep...

I can see a lot MORE insults flying around, and you'd probably want to derep them back, it'd just be hectic really...

As for people who constantly derep someone, hey, the way they use rep is up to them... It's pretty pathetic if they continue to negative rep someone for a single thing they dislike, but oh well :P

I agree that having a rep log will only be a cause for dramas, which I think we have more than necessary already....

Btw, can it be made so that I know the older posts that I was repped/negged on? The profile only shows 5 most recent ones....

I just think that a person who's trying to de-rep someone on an every other day basis really needs to grow up and get a life. No one likes losing rep just because someone really hates you for a superficial reason. I think this is the sentiment that most users are expressing even though nothing can be done about it.

Well obviously a lot of people would feel that way but by the same token a lot of those people would seek revenge and it would just be a huge -rep war between users, which would end up leading to fights on the forums, no doubt.
