A Private Members Area.
Private Member Area

After reading a post that Flaser had made stating that the ad companies can't control what is going on behind closed doors. This got me wondering would it be a possible idea to have a private area for members who want loli and to donate a certain amount to the site. Or possible do a monthly membership for that area. But also keep Fakku free except that.

We already have the Upload section as a "Member Only section." :D
but if we want it "really" private, there's some stuff that needs to be changed.
(well, make sure that it's really closed)
and remove the advertising from that section.

The Upload section is that something that the users pay for themselves? I am asking because I never go their. But your :D is confusing me.

lol, well that section is only accessible for registered users, that's private enough right?
Try going in there without logging in, and you'll know what I mean.
like in Exhentai, I only need to be a registered user to get in.
the :D is just a smile.

Lol, I never would've known that considering the first thing I do is login to the site. Well I guess that is a "Members Area" but I mean it doesn't due much except get people to register a free account.

hmmm. maybe we should make it invincible to non registered users too.
@long that's why I said "it needs to be changed a bit"
and paying is not an option

I updated my original post to clarify a number of things:
https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?p=1328210#1328210
As is, Jacob does not have the legal standing to either accept donations or member fees for any part of the site. All he can do is take funds from advertisements on the site, but nothing more.
Since it won't generate any revenue, as I see it, the members only section could offer only these services:
-Cataloging restricted material. (Title, Author, Translator whether it belongs to a franchise or is original material).
-Links to alternative download sites.
What it can't offer:
-On-line reading of restricted materials.
-Direct download of restricted materials from the site.

Try going into the manga section without being logged in? Oh wait, I can.
Not a big deal for me, but why that one section?

well, this time it's advertisers not flaggers, Klown. So, let's just put the flaggers issue aside first.
lol XD
@RBZ: Ah, I it originated from the flaggers issue. Since we wanted to atleast reduce the numbers of flaggers that came in and flagged links. Since the post requirement got spammed, this is the closest thing to reduce the number of flaggers without limiting the users.

I understand Jacob and the mod's reason for banning loli but the crusade against various types of hentai is getting ridiculous (as if it wasn't ridiculous to begin with). I'm all for finding an alternative way for hosting/viewing such content as long as it isn't going to screw the rest of Fakku over. So basically... please find a way to get around this if you can (with the exception of various translators and pant.su I've all but run out of loli sources), but as always keeping the site alive and true to it's roots (free, high quality, frequently updated etc.) is priority #1. Though I would be willing to pay a fee for a "premium section" containing loli if Jacob wasn't screwed by the contract heh. Keep up the good work Fakku staff.
I know it's off topic but if you check this thread again RBZ, will you be recreating your manga upload thread sans loli or are you abandoning that effort for the time being?

Fakku's Idealism is Free Hentai for all. By making a premium section that forces people to pay, it contradicts with our idealism.
Making "Premium" section is ok,but making people pay for it is a no.

People still get their stuff for free and if they can get their 'banned' stuff for a small donation, that's totally optional and not forced.
Though I am totally against making people pay for stuff too. I hate Doujin-Moe with a passion, for example.
So maybe an invitation system? Hmm, nah. I dunno, really.

Let's reiterate:
-As is, Jacob can't accept either payments or donations.
-As is, Jacob can only use revenue from advertisements.
-As is, the advertisers won't allow their ads on a site that has lolicon material on it. (What lolicon material is, is yet to be clarified. I would very much like to take a look at their letter and the TOS to see what *really* needs to be done to comply with their request).
Depending on the TOS (terms of service), FAKKU could show "banned" material either in a restricted section where advertisements are not shown, or FAKKU can't show *any* material since the TOS may retain the right of the advertiser to cease association with a site that contains "illegal" material... or even "offensive"/"obscene" material.
...the terms are important because some of them may be disputed. However I doubt Jacob can afford to go into a legal battle. What it's important for though is that the community could fight these terms or do some activism if we really have the balls to stand out for our hobby.
The alternative to moving materials into a subsection, is to move them to a "sister-site", a different entity then FAKKU. This would be the "unfiltered" version of the site and as another entity the TOS of the advertiser wouldn't apply.
Here's the problem:
This affiliate site, or the "members subsection" couldn't generate any revenue either.

I, and several other translators, had their projects posted there with the credits removed, in their Members Only section. They're the reason why I hard-edit my signature into title pages.
