A problem with reputation

Alright, I obviously haven't posted here very much, but I can't understand why I received bad reputation on a request that I posted. I even submitted it in the completed requests thread, and finished it off with "Request completed". I thoroughly read the rules before posting, and I just don't really understand. Was it a mistake? I didn't notice until now, but it was back in May.

It was probably related to being such a new member, with a low post count, posting a request. However, we do get that a lot though. You might just have caught someone on a bad day. There are those use the reputation system for their own selfish means, and those that take the system too seriously. I'd advice you to not worry about it. It doesn't mean anything.

Well it seems that you did follow the rules/procedures when making a request so I don't see a problem at all. It might of just been some troll or whoever -reping people for no reason, its best to just forget about it. I'd plus rep you to fix it but unfortunately I can't at the moment since I already +rep'd someone today, so if no one does it I'll eventually get to it for you.

Thanks to both of you. I wasn't too concerned, it just seemed... silly. I should post more I guess, but I tend to just lurk.

Lurking is a bad habit lol you should post more and get to know people on the forums better, its a great community minus some flaws. A great way is to talk to people on IRC, RS or Chatroll.

The rep system is just what it is. Though I'll probably +rep you later if I have nothing else to do. It's rare to find some one that actually reads and follows the rules.

Since you took notice of your reputation points, can I assume you are here to stay for a while? The Fakku community is always in need of new members who are active and abide by the rules. :)

I plan on becoming more active, I just never think about it. Most of the time that I get on Fakku I am on my phone, and it's tough to navigate the forums a lot. But I'm going to try to get on more, and I'll check out the IRC as well.
