A question on Loli avatars.

First off, I am NOT trying to make Jacob ban Loli avatars. It would hurt me as much as it would fellow Lolicons. What I'm asking is this - Since Lolicon is *sort of* illegal (more of looked down upon) in America, is it safe for Americans to use nude Loli in their avatars? I had my KnJ avatar as my MSN pic and a friend told me it wasn't safe to use.

When did loli become illegal in US?

I think Jacob just said he didn't want to see giant penis on an avatar. That's the only thing banned.

Well, it ISN'T illegal, but I don't know what anymore. You know with some news reports saying people got arrested for possession of Lolicon, etc. Just wondering what he thinks on it.

Jacob also said no more nudity in avatars what-so-ever as he has to look through so many posts every day filled with it, it can get quite annoying.

No, I thought it was just extreme stuff he didn't want (Spread/gaping holes, erections, etc.) I thought stuff like mine was just fine.

Maybe that's what he meant by graphic nudity, but maybe I took it wrong?

To me graphic nudity simply implies sexual nudity. (Gaping vaginas fits into that category, but simply posing nude does not, I think)

Graphic "Erotic movements and sounds indicative of a sex act between partners, friends or married persons, usually naked."

Nudity "The unclothed human figure or a representation of it. Includes both full and partial nudity."

I could be wrong, but that's just how I see it...

GRAPHIC - I thought that meant extreme, horrible, etc. I didn't think 3 lolis with their nipples covered was graphic. I changed it just incase until I'm told otherwise.

I never implied your avatar was against the rules, either...

Though I could be wrong there too, Jacob just implemented this rule, and I don't think we have any standards for it yet, so I guess it's best just to see what he says.

Hmm... I have a question about what Jacob meant about no nudity in Fakku avi's anymore, did he mean that they can't have any nudity whatsoever or does he just mean no avi's that are WAY too explicit? Because I was wondering if this one avi I used before was ok to keep using since it has hardly any nudity in it, once I get home I can post what it is to prove what I'm saying.

Maybe Jacob meant like Sex on an Avatar or maybe like a Guro/scat. Possibly a picture of just genitalia is banned. Also maybe only drawings can be on a ava. Nothing real. I've only seen two instances of real was Angelus Lupseosenios and someone's GF or something.

Yeah the one I'm talking about ain't real its just an anime girl (Yagyu Kyubei), it was one of the one's that I really liked and it would be a damn shame if Jacob made the ban on ANY kind of nudity no matter how small. :|

... But according to threads, quite a nice chunk of the forum gets off to lolicon. I don't mind changing it if it offends you that badly, though.

Graphic typically means explicit, which your KnJ avatar wouldn't qualify as. Of course what Jacob thinks of as graphic may be different. Yeah, gotta love the questionable legality of lolicon in the United States.



It is and isn't. Lolicon is protected by the First Amendment, but it has to pass the Miller Test, which is a test to determine whether something is to be considered obscene or not. Well lolicon doesn't have any intrinsic art value and is usually just obscene so it wouldn't pass the Miller Test, therefore being illegal.

I would NEVER think about actual children and I see no reason to discuss it with you, so I think we're good. I hope.

Oh, good. At least now we know, but I ended up changing it anyway. At least I'll know if I find another good Kodomo no Jikan pic.
