Ad Frequency

Hey,

I was just curious if there was any way to change the frequency of how often Ads pop up while someone is reading the manga here? its frustrating when they pop up 5 or more frames in a row.

I do want to make it clear I am not asking you stop the ads in general, just maybe a way to stop this from happening?

Only two fullpage ads are supposed to show up per manga.

someone lying to you Jacob. They show up on at least half of the pages of the manga unless you click really really fast and avoid the pop-up.

never got a pop up... ever here outside of the bottom ad with maria or the gay sites.

Lets say it takes, on average, 2-3 minutes to read through your standard 20 page h-manga (reading the text, getting a good look at the drawings of hot sex).

I went through 3 of those new Sho-pan chapters just now. It took about the time mentioned above to read each of them.
Chapter 01 - 14 ads
Chapter 02 - 12 ads
Chapter 03 - 16 ads

Thats about 1 ad per page (two ads on one page in one instance), or maybe 1 ad every 10-20 seconds!

I know you're trying to keep things as low cost as possible, but for fucks sake cant you tone down the frequency of these things? I know the way to avoid this is to just download the thing and view it on your own computer, but I like to browse through a doujin/manga before I download it. Other people just can't afford (privacy wise) to download them, and so all they can do is just view them online.

I swear I saw stupid shit like this more than I did hentai. It's so much that it's almost impossible to really enjoy the hentai I'm looking at.

I know we can't be the only one who has a beef with this. Not with the ads themselves (I understand and appreciate their necessity), but with how often we are FORCED to see them.

Jacob is probably lying to you all or doesn't care. Just wild speculation though.

There's a possibility that it's the ad company that is lying to Jacob, or there might be other factors that can trigger the ad.

My bad then if that's the case, I've just been rather skeptical lately.

I was trying to read a doujin and by the 20th page i had an ad on all but 2 pages. I gave up trying to read it at all.

I am working to remove the fullpage ads completely, so we'll see. Sorry this is still an issue.

understand that it's not your fault. They lied to you and you're just trying to generate revenue to keep the site running.

I've actually only ever gotten one pop-up on Fakku, and it closed with no problems.

I find that if you read pages faster they tend not to appear... but the longer you linger they start to show. I just read fast I suppose!

Exactly. I'm sure that you're not the first nor the last person these ad companies have lied to.

I have recently seen an improvement in the number/frequency of ads. I rarely seem to get them anymore, and when I do, it's only 2 or 3 and then nothing for the rest of the chapter. Sometimes I still get one almost every page, but not as often as it used to be.

The adds on fakku don't bother me unless they start playing some thing with sound.

Some days i get no ads, some days i get a lot. doesn't realy bother me, i just click the skip button and life goes on.

today though, i got a popunder four times in a row, and some pages get something called "browser sniffer" trying to download. i'm guessing soma ad got hacked.
