It has come to my attention that there have been an increasing number of people who make accounts just to post links that break the Rules of Fakku.
Those links may lead to malicious websites, advertise your site, products, or services, ask for money, etc etc.
Whatever it is, I'm almost 100% sure that they are only here to do harm.
I'm afraid there will be some users of Fakku who will fall for their trickery, and that is the whole reason why I'm creating this topic. To remind people of this matter on Fakku and to get help getting ideas as to how to stop them.
When you come up with an idea, DO NOT post the idea here, but instead use the PM function to send messages to the Fakku Moderators or Fakku Admins. Showing the ideas to everyone, including people bringing malicious websites, will have no benefit.

It's not that entirely problematic. As much as it is the staffs job to handle such posts in due course, it is also the responsibility of the users to take a dose of common sense. I think most users on Fakku are smart enough to stay away from the links, report the topic(s) and wait for Jacob or Matty to do something about it.
I don't think there is anything we can do about it, really. It's up to the staff to handle the situation. I suppose if it got terribly problematic then there would have to be an increased number of staff or current staff members will have to free up more time to monitor Fakku.
I guess what I'm trying to say is the staff can only do so much to curb the situation, and I think the members are well off enough to know what they are doing. There isn't anything else that needs to be done.

It just curbs the lifetime of mediocre ideas (for they will be known eventually) and doesn't do anything for good ideas imo... besides, you get 1001 private posts instead of one or two in a public thread.
