Automerging Posts

Ok so I post a lot on the forums, more so on another forum, and I have come across the problem that posts do not automerge, they just follow one after the other, so for example, if I want to reply to someone (but I miss another post that I later want to reply after making my first post) instead of it being a whole new post, why not automerge them instead? I have see it on all the other forums I have visited, so then why not make it happen here?

Well you can edit your last post in the thread, and just add to it. But I'll see if I can set something up that instead of replying just automatically edits your last post if it was the most recent post.

just make sure the edits show as an update to the thread, other wise it defeats the point. good idea though
