in the pics however, when he uploads it, he gets to a page titled error and gives him the choice to return to profile. if you leave it at that though, the avi will appear broken.
to fix it, you have to go back to your profile page again, then hit "edit your profile" again, which then takes you to the avi crop screen.
try it yourself.

Ahhh. I got this the last time I changed mine, but sort of habitually clicked through and thought nothing of it.
