I understand the reason for the limit on the user favorites list. The problem I have is the site already has a massive collection and is only growing larger and larger. When I find manga that has great art I generally favorite it and make use of the "related manga" feature to check for any new work added. More often as of late, I'm seeing new work by new or lesser known artists that I would like to keep track of but am limited by the 10 favorite limit.
Again, I understand the point of a limit to favorites and I definitely don't want to dilute that feature. I would just like to see a way to allow tracking of more manga that isn't necessarily marked as a favorite.
I really enjoy what this site has to offer and hope that it continues to improve in all areas. My hats off to the staff here at Fakku!
EDIT: Anyone agree/disagree with my suggestion? Would like to hear others opinions or alternative solutions.

This question has already been asked though I don't know where the thread has gone to so I can't post a link to it for you maybe someone else will. But it was said that some didn't want to have more than 10 favorites in their profile because it isn't necessary for more plus you could just dl the h-manga rather than read it online. But I think Jacob said he'd be willing to change it to 15 if enough people were able to convince him I don't know it was a while back.

Thank you for the response.
I tend to download the manga instead of viewing online. The reason I would like to mark more than the base 10 limited is because I use them as anchor references to other manga of a similar nature. Most times it is because of an artist but sometimes I find the rarely well done one-shot manga. There are more that reach well beyond a 10 or 15 limit.
Honestly, I don't like the (download vs view online) argument when it comes to bookmarking items as for my case where I download manga, there may come a time where an unfortunate hard drive failure could occur causing the loss of several great manga. In that respect, having an easy list of bookmarked items greatly helps speed a recovery if the need arises.
I respect the notion of having to put significant thought into what you put on your favorites list that the limit invokes. I just can't understand how a feature can become a point of frustration when someone just has a wider variety of tastes than others.
Maybe some sort of hybrid can evolve from this. Such as a private bookmark list where we can keep track of what we want and put our public favorites out there for anyone to see.

Well yeah I guess you'll just have to be careful with your hard drive then lol, but if you ever did lose all your doujins atleast you'll know that Fakku will still be here 8).

I think this is a good idea. I'll try to come up with something to solve your problem. Though at the moment I have no idea what, so I am open to suggestions from everyone.

Well the current favorite system can be left 100% alone as it works perfect..
As for the private, can't you just make a "Watch this Manga" type of button that only shows up in a pane under their profile that only they'd see with a listing of all the Manga they're watching?
Maybe you could take it a few steps further, "watch this artist" "Watch this translation group" etc, and under their watch list you could still show related manga...and whatnot.

That's a shitload of bookmarks there. Might be better if a box appeared in one's profile that listed the links and titles of FAKKU! releases that one can add.

Yes, I think this would work out pretty good.

I like the "watch this artist/group" options. Sounds like we are starting to gain some traction. Keep the ideas coming in. :D
