Can I delete my threads?
0
I looked for a thread about this and could find one if there is please direct. Thanks
I have a thread thats out of control myself and others have tried to push it back on course but it keeps getting derailed. The only way I see to control the problem is deleting the thread. If you can help it would be very appreciated.
Thanks

for added info, you can always delete your thread as long as nobody has posted on it yet.
Deleting a thread isn't really the best solution for your worries. I'd suggest you pm a MOD (I'd prefer Gambler) :P then kindly ask him to "lock" your specific thread and give a reason as to why so. (problem solved)

Lies!
After your request and present him a loli, you have to wait a week for his consideration. :P

Or maybe he just uses the week to "check the quality" of said loli.

and just like that, this thread got seriously derailed!
(my fault for even mentioning Gambler) - maybe try Mattarat instead.
thus I subject this thread for lockdown! 8)

It's important to note that threads usually only get locked if they are duplicate threads, go against the nature of the site (such as, threads for foreign languages), are filled with a ton of pointless fighting and/or verbal abuse, or stray far off-course, like a thread about apples in the Food and Cooking section having three pages of Death Note discussion.
I don't think Gambler will ever lock a thread just because the person who made the thread asked him to. I'm not sure about any other mods, because he's usually the one I see locking threads.

hmm...i think that because Gamble always inform the Thread Host of the Threads he has locked via PM...something that no other mods usually do...

meh, as I've never really agreed with you most of the time.
If the thread instigator wants his own thread to be locked, is it not a good enough reason? rather than asking his thread be deleted, wouldn't that be much more inappropriate? And I believe GinIchimaru_09 only has the best intentions of wanting so.
I've even wondered for some time now if Gambler or any other Global MODs (Mattarat, being the only other) for that matter, are capable of deleting a thread. I've asked Gambler once before to remove a certain thread that a certain user created in the past, he only decided to lock it instead, even though I was very certain that it should have been just deleted. (I wouldn't have mind losing a post or two) - I've already witnessed some threads got deleted before, so it simply bothers me that there's still a lot of good for nothing threads loitering around...
@GinIchimaru_09
If you really want your thread to be locked or whatever, I still believe that Gambler would grant such a request, as long as you can provide a good enough explanation for it.
and I also recall Gambler doing it once before.
too bad, the particular thread was already lost due to the infamous "time warp"

I figured I ought to post in this particular thread.
First off, the rumours about me are untrue. 1 loli is not sufficient. I demand more! :D
Jokes aside, all Admins, Global Mods and Mods(I think) have the ability to delete threads. Personally, I will not go about deleting threads unless necessary, such as those providing links to dubious websites or harmful to the Fakku community and interests as a whole. I prefer the option of locking over deleting them, maybe because it can serve as a future reference and more often than not, there are some postworthy replies.
Like what the other members have mentioned, feel free to PM me regarding the threads you have created and I will try to see what I can do about them, though your requests may not be fulfilled completely, depending on the circumstances. It may be moved or locked instead of being deleted completely.
And no, I do not bite. :)
