If you wait awhile, it should be fine. Same thing happened to me and today it's loaded. I have no idea about gifs however.

@Jacob: thanks for the fix, but it seemed to bring up other bugs.
- I have my sigs disabled (I don't see other user's sigs), yet I do see them and the pictures don't show up.
