I've tried about 10 times in the course of 5 hours, and I still can't seem to send a PM. I've done it before, but somehow it's not working...

are you getting the 504 error? if that's it... don't worry. the pm is still sent.

Yes, I got the same error, and I tried many times, but then I tried looking in my sent folder for unread messages, and I had spammed another poor user the same message allot of times.
