i've seen a few chat threads, and i was wondering what it would take to have an actual chat. is it cost prohibative? does it take alot of effort to maintain? i know nothing of running a website, but i was just curious.

Ehm...fakku has an IRC channel already which is an actual chat; chat thread(s) are created because some people prefer to have a forum-based chat. Something like that.

Yeah, the IRC is the official site chat room, from what I've heard. I'm glad for that. A lot of other sites have an in-site chat feature (on the bottoms or tops of pages, usually) that I despise because they slow down my browser and computer.

Fakku has no official chat, we do however make use of #fakku on the rizon servers and it is run by the same staff as the site(giving it a somewhat official look). There is on site access or you can use a large list of programs(mIRC) to join.

Chatroll is also a well known place where some of our members like to congregate.
Chatroll
feel free to join either or both.
