Hasn't the whole manta of IB to be 'Strong skinned or get the fuck out'? If they can't hang sort of speak.. should they make be go elsewheres. I mean do the dicks not say.. in front. We all post 'who are you or op a fag', but don't we try to correct them at first.. those users who don't rage back usually say thank you for redirecting me to the right course. Only those who fire back insults do the demons who lurk in ib go after the bait. Unless we know they are and this happen before with the same thread.
I think someone should make a thread with the ideas of:

That's a quote from the rules thread.
That "special consideration" is us allowing people to get a bit crazy in IB. I still warn people when I see racism, I still punish those that post guro. We just believe the people who sign up for Fakku should be adults and thus are able to deal with minor insults and harassment. When someone pushes too far we act and we have banned users for harassment in IB before(in severe cases). This is all down to our judgement, saying "too long didn't read" or "I could care less/don't give a fuck" is not harassment in my opinion and thus would not get a second glance.
I want to clarify something; if you see harassment outside of IB report it, we can't be everywhere at once, we don't read every post made. If this is an issue you believe in then it's your duty to help, just as it's our duty to act.
Freak, don't use that word, if I catch people using it in IB I warn them. If they keep using it in IB they see a short ban; pretty simple,

I rarely use the word unless it explaining something that the word was used for like the thread on the Huck Finn new version missing a certain characters name. Is the alt ghetto slang version ok? Also i don't use the word in hate.

I probably wont ask someone not to. "er" is differently against our rules and it's not something I'm suppose to let slide.

There's one thing that's been puzzling me about FAKKU's management right now and I've been wanting to ask this...as waar said, he moderates IB based on common sense and the team's own judgements. Is there a reason why the judgement process here is not written in the Rules thread? I think "WITH SPECIAL CONSIDERATION DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE BOARD ITSELF" is really ambiguous. It's literally saying "We can do whatever we want".
I'm not trying to attack anyone here. Personally I have a lot of respect for the staff today. If I were waar and had to moderate IB as it is today, I would have flipped the table and quit within a week. Pretty much what HentaiElder did with IRC, no? (Although he lasted slightly less than a week) Moderating this community today isn't nearly as easy as it was 4 years ago.

There is still a difference between the rules thread and what is actually being enforced today by the staff members. I said in my previous post that I think they're doing a good job and I have no complaints, but I would like a clearer explanation of what's going on in the management right now because the rules thread doesn't accurately represent what's actually being enforced, and it's far too ambiguous.
As I said, I'm not trying to suggest any "changes". To revert IB to what it was in the old days requires the banning of 90% of the posters there, and that's just not feasible. Saying that I'm "belly-ache" isn't exactly accurate since I don't care about the state that IB is in right now.

It's ambiguous for a reason. If we gave specific rules it would allow some users to push and abuse those rules. For example if we had something that said "we allow trolling in IB" there would be no limit in place and some could retreat into the excuse of "the rules don't say I can't" when going overboard. The ambiguity is a way for us to still keep some order mixed in with the chaos.
The rest of Imp's post seems to be complaining about IB, how it's now filled with flaming and trolling. I don't think that has anything to do with the ambiguity of the rules.
edit: final note, I didn't have the rules changed, I was just a section mod at the time and had no control over the rules thread.

Do you need to shit up every section of fakku? If you can't handle insults and vulgar language on a hentai website then the moderating and rules is the last thing you should be worrying about. I hear CTFG is a great place for people like you.

But right now according to the rules thread, trolling shouldn't be allowed in IB, except for "special considerations given the nature of the board". I'm just thinking that this "special consideration" is too relaxed, don't you think? I think IB is totally different from the rest of the board, and it seriously should warrant its own set of rules, and naturally "special considerations" so you can keep some order when people start to amuse them.
"Insults, harassment, flaming, trolling, baiting or other similar abusive behavior towards other members of the Forum will not be tolerated." I mean, seriously? Ask any random person who passes by if they think IB obeys these rules including "special considerations", which again, is too ambiguous.
Again, not really complaining. I think the management here is fine, but I do think IB warrants its own set of rules even if it's just for the sake of new users, so they know what to expect.

Handling insults and vulgar language includes not being sensitive to us upholding the standards a user should learn and possess.
