FAKKU Rules, version 2.0
General Rules
No drug discussion.
-This one really needs no explanation. Anything related to this will be deleted and repeat offenders will be banned from forum use.
i do need more explination. i'm not trying to be a smart ass or anything.
drugs have had a significant influance on my life, so it colors alot of my opinions and how i respond to many forum topics. so long as i'm not spouting off shit like, "heroine is the greatest!", i don't think it is a big deal.

Wow.Really?
You're really asking this?
Oi, shut up you.
On topic, I don't see the problem of talking about it in the context you mention. As you said, I don't think there is a problem unless you talk like "heroin is awesome!!one1"

I think in this context, all coffee-related topics should be removed.

Kind reminds me of my sort of smart-off reply to FPOD in the suggestion topic. It's based heavily on the context and the interpretation. I think that rule, and some of the others, need to be more detailed and laid out.

it's fine in my books, I always have a fairly loose interpretation on the rules so I can't speak for the other staff members.

Considering that caffeine is considered a drug by the FDA and that Jacob creating his two threads means that talking about it in context is fine. The rule is in place so Fakku doesn't turn into 420chan and having people discuss how to get high.

The section definitely needs some sort of explanation. We all can figure out what is appropriate and what isn't, but a new user would be very confused if he saw, "No drug talk!" and then saw stuff in Serious Discussion, for example, talking openly about drugs.

well i really want to know some opinions from people about this topic so I favor the remove of the rule on this.

legal reasons maybe? people don't want to sponsper a site which is helping crack addicts and stuffI don't think anyone wants a thread about how to make crystal meth, but the "No drug talk" rule sends the message that it's not okay to ever talk about drugs, and that's too strict.
Like earl said, people can talk about how drugs have affected their lives, and it can be pertinent to a conversation. And it doesn't mean that they are saying, "Do these drugs, they're fucking awesome!"

I'm not sold on removing it entirely but, I'm certainly in favor of loosening the restriction.
Im fine allowing people to talk about legalization, how it effects their personal lives or how drugs effect society, the chemical compounds, research on the effects of drugs on the human body (both positive and negative). Personal opinions or morals on the drugs. What I'm not fine with is opening the rule so much that people can talk about where to buy, what to look for when buying, what to buy, people showing off their stash or their bongs/pipes, etc.

While that doesn't bother me personally, I'd have to agree. Completely getting rid of the rule may not be the best course of action, but we should also have faith that members of Fakku will have enough common sense without it.

i think this would be better than what is there now.
