Favorite Threads

I've been tossing this idea around in my head for awhile now, and I have finally decided to see what everyone thinks of it.

What if FAKKU members could save their favorite threads, just like the "favorite manga" feature. If you could just go to one place, accessible from your profile page, to find 10 or so of your favorite threads. An "Add to Favorites" option could be accessible right next to the "quote" and "report" options on the topic creator's first post.

I got this idea after seeing how certain threads such as the VUVC, Team Harmony, and a few others in Nosebleed and the User Uploads threads have a fairly large following. This feature would also be useful to favorite threads in Nosebleed where a good amount of users go to get their hentai pics. You could also select your favorite User Uploaders' threads where they post their new material. I believe that this feature would make the Fakku forums easier to navigate; instead of searching through dozens of threads to find the one you want, you could just click a link and your there :)

Just throwing out a suggestion, but I feel it would be a helpful option to pursue :)

Like, you can instantly see if someone made a post in a thread you subscribed to instead of having to check them separately...

We recommend going back and trying again (try using more than two words).

Sounds like a sweet idea, that way i can keep track of all the threads i go to.

Only problem I see with this is if someone accidentaly subscribes to a thread that gets alot of posts, they'll get alot of messages.

I think it should only work for sections outside of IB, and should only send 1 notification smply saying that the thread was replied to.

Or make it so it just has a notification saying that the thread was updated rather than sending messages.

You could always just take it off of your favorites...

Why wouldn't you want this to be available in IB? This idea would be great for saving your favorite chat threads, so you dont have to look through the pages of junk in IB to get to them. This plan would also be PERFECT for saving your favorite threads in Nosebleed, which is a part of IB, so you can go straight to your favorite pics :)

And where did you get the idea that people would be sent messages when a topic is replied to? Thats not really what Im proposing...

Plus, IB has most of the longer running threads, and a large portion of the Fakku community dwells there.

I've seen this on just about every other forum I've been a part of. It's kind of odd to not see it here, now that I think about it. It's usually called "subscribing."

I believe the way it works is, if you see a thread you want to keep track of, there's an option on the page where you can choose to subscribe to the thread. Then, in your profile, there's an option for you to look at all the threads you're subscribed to. I'm guessing there's also an option to receive (or not) messages when a subscribed thread is posted in. If you had that turned off, you wouldn't be notified when the threads gets a response.

I'm all for it, though I don't think I'd use it much. I always clicked the "View Your Posts" button to see if any of the threads I liked had gotten a new post, but I do recall having problems with that. If I saw a thread, I liked, I'd have to post in it to get it to show up, and if I didn't have anything to say, I was fucked.

I see no problem with this but seems like Jacob has more important things to fix first. If you want you can always put links in your sig like me . See below not my favs but serve same purpose.

I suppose this is a valid idea because I can think of a few pros and very little cons.

I like the idea but if we could turn off the option to be emailed or pm'd every time someone replies it might be better as my inbox is already 50% full on fakku and i would go nuts with the spam some threads get (chat threads).
