Finding authors of "Unknown" mangas?
0
Though I have absolutely NO skill/understanding of written Japanese to do this myself, I think it'd be great if there were a group/effort to figure out the authors of all the manga marked "Author: UnkownUnknown" in our Manga section.
That way, proper credit can at least be attributed to the hard working artists who made them, even if we're not buying their dojinshi.
Any ideas? ;3;'

Wouldn't it be too much work? Considering Fakku has ... kind of... hundreds of mangas...
Edit: and also, don't you mean Unknown?

Ah! Yes, yes I did. Thanks, I'm a spelling conscious person as well :)
Well, isn't there an option to go to the Author section of sorting manga, then go to Unknown and start working from there? :o

824 Artists Unknown, 8 Translators Unknown.
If we find someone who is willing to contribute to Fakku and find all these unknown artists and translators, that would be a great idea. But the problem is:
How are we going to find such a person or people?

Pull together a ramshackle group of users with free time, a knowledge of Japanese, and lots of internet? @_@'

I agree. so much so that i traveled back in time and said this.
seriously though, i can sort of tell some by the art style, but i also have zero knowlege of japanese, so i can't be sure.

I also noticed multiple names for the same artist, and some that have the same name, but when you use the link to see more by them, it leaves some out.
two i can think of off the top of my head are mogudan/nakayohi mogudan, and inazuma/digital accel works.

those 2 "name" version is the most annoying thing in any information database, since it can cause confusion and inconsistency, and even worse double entry.
but just to be clear
Nakayohi Mogudan is a collaboration circle between Nakayohi and Mogudan

This is an awesome idea. Can we safely say that the "Edit function by regular users" idea has been completely scrapped?
