Killing someone in society may not seem wrong to someone, but they'll still get locked up for it. If you're a member of a larger order, you follow the rules. If you have issue with the rules or how they are enforced, you are more than welcome to leave.

or run for public office to change the rules, good luck congressman longevity.

I'll start with our schools...America has some of the worst test scores around.

how about secret mods? Mods who we don't know that are. They can do clean up duty.

lol, I once did this accidentally (limited to the VN section only), when people didn't realize I was a appointed mod, until the next 2 weeks. XD

it works though, since they'll just assume it was one of the global mods or admins that did it.

But I don't know what's the purpose for being an undercover mod.

So people don't mouth off saying that said person shouldnt be a mod or whatnot. Or maybe they just lend a hand to help out without having to deal with people bitching to our at them.

I can see what you mean, but that might cause resentment if said person(s) was ever found out. I can't speak for anyone else, but I wouldn't be too happy if I found out Jacob had some secret policing service on Fakku.

Moderators are supposed to be respected members of the community. Of course everyone will run into some scrutiny from time to time, but those individuals are members who should be able to handle such situations without issue.

to be honest, as probably the most controversial moderator I don't see the reason to hide what you are, or what you do. I haven't done anything that would get me banned/fired and people bitching about me hasn't stopped me from doing my job. It does influence people's opinions of me though *cough gambler*.

Yup, Transparency is what makes the public "Calm" and relieved.

Since they know what's happening to the site and the staff. Stealth mods in the end might incite a "finger pointing" case, where the people starts blaming another mod, just because they don't know the truth.

We don't need "stealth" mods when everyone blames Waar for everything.

Indeed, we do not see eye to eye on many issues concerning moderation. However, I do agree with you that it would be better to have staff members performing their duties openly rather than in secret, which does not facilitate transparency.

I still believe all staff members should be open with most, if not all, their actions and decisions.

And like stated, if someone does happen we don't like, we'll blame Waar for it anyways.
