I do believe I'm breaking a rule?

Sure, call me stupid for bringing it up to get called on it, but I'm curious. I was looking at the rules for no reason and saw the thing about not advertising your site and other crap of that nature.
Notice the button in my sig links to my blog. Which is kind of like my site. No one's ever called me on it, but now I'm curious. Should I remove it? I know it's listed in the rules, but like I said, no one's ever called me on it.

I'm pretty sure that rule there means Jacob doesn't want you to link to Fakku's competitors. I sorta doubt your blog or such things were intended. Otherwise we'd be breaking the rule every time someone linked a picture or a video. I believe what is not allowed is links to other hentai sites or forums.

Just checking - I probably shouldn't have bothered considering I've had this button up for quite a few months.

Ah... What about all the links in the "Possible answers for your requests" sticky in the request section? It's meant to just stop people asking for really easy to find things, since all the people who help out the requesters will just go to those sites anyway... So it cuts out the middleman. But then it does link to FAKKU's "competitors" in some cases.

I always figured the "no linking" rule was meant to keep people from spamming crap meant to earn them money. You know, "Click on my link, and I'll get a penny!" and "Join this site with me as your referrer, and we'll both be rich!"

I don't know how the staff feels, but usually, forums and their users don't like that sort of thing. In fact, I recall a thread being made on Fakku a while back about a PTC site (paid-to-click) that got blasted all to hell. Not very well received.
Certain upload links are already banned in User Uploads because they give the uploader money for each download. However, that may be due in large part to the fact that such sites usually suck ass, with slower speeds than a non-paying site.

I can somewhat understand it, since I personally am in the same position of having like no money, so earning a few bucks on the side and adding them onto the paypal account so you can buy smth in itunes or where ever like ebay or some hardcore s&m shit, but else i think it shouldn't be done.. which pretty much makes my just proposed statement nil, haha
