ignore user button?

Greetings. I'm not a 'forum otaku', so I'm not sure if this is a dumb question or not, but here goes; Is there a way you can ignore a select member of the forum? They would still be able to post of course, but an ignored user's reply wouldn't be visible to the person, or people that have said member on their ignore list(s).

If Fakku currently doesn't have this feature, would it be hard or even possible to
add it? Thanks.

Is it so hard to ignore someone that you need a function for it? I don't see a need for such a thing.

My original request was going to be for a 'vote to have a member banned' button, but I'm a nice guy, you see.

I believe there was some sort of program that could change every user's avatar (only you will see it) to whatever you wanted. That way you could just skip over that person's posts.

I remember that the Shoujo-Ai Forums have an "ignore" button. If it does pass on this site, it would be good, I guess...

Of course not. It wouldn't be like voting someone off American Idol, or whatever.

What I had meant was for many normal users (non-mods) to be able to vote to have an annoying, good for nothing user removed. Normally this is something only a mod can do,.. but this idea would give the 'power to the people'. It's main use would be to remove someone that the mods didn't notice was a problem, or to remove a person that is 'protected', that is someone that is friends with a mod or mods.

However, now that I really think about it,.. it's all of nothing. Even if you did ban someone, they can always make a new account. And even if you banned their IP, they can just log on on a different computer.

I guess it can't be helped. The good thing about a forum is that anyone can post on it. The bad thing about a forum is that anyone can post on it.

You'll have to excuse me if I was rude in my last post, I was pissed off when I wrote that. (Although the part about me being a nice guy is true of course. =)

A user banned, not because of being annoying, but because of breaking the rules.

Or cause a mod hates you.

Either way, this isn't that great of an idea. If you really have that much problem ignoring a post then I feel extremely sorry for you.
