Incoherent Rank

I think this status was a bad idea.
FAKKU Elite and FAKKU Elder statuses can be achieved by spamming, but it is against the rules to spam Incoherent Babbling, and the Moderators will flip shit and rape the users in the pooper if they see the spammers.

But now there's a new status called Incoherent Rank, where spamming allowed. (But no double posting, no creating multiple threads at once). I just think this status will bring too many spammers to Incoherent Babbling forum section and will have more downside to the forums.

Correction, spamming is looked down in either case.

If this is supposed to be a deterrant from participating in the Incoherent Babbling section, it's a pretty good one, especially since one cannot switch it out with an earned Elite or Elder status.

Though I can imagine all the QQing if the aforementioned was made true.

So I say Jacob should make an additional function in the Profile Edit, similar to the button "Show Signatures: On Off" except instead should have choices of what status they want to use.
Of course, this cannot be applied to the FAKKU Staff or else they'll be hidden amongst the community.

or he could, you know, fix problems that we currently have instead of adding something I suggested 2 years ago. He gave you a new toy, enjoy it and avoid looking like a complainer.

Did someone actually imply they care about what goes on in IB? And here I thought I'd seen everything.

I dont think it would get people off spamming IB. Just annoy them to no end if they dont like it, or make them happy.

But if it was like how Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 online is like. Where you can choose your title. That would be cool.

But yeah, fixing the site should come first.

Title based from choice ? It's not a good idea if you ask me.
Well, i prefer a title that we can got by achieving things ... Not just by,
500 posts --> Elite
1000 posts --> Elder
and some people who get title as "Fakku Writer/Artist/Uploader"

For now, i still didn't have any idea yet about by what criteria we have to achieve so we can got another title.
Maybe by Rep ? but it can be easily abused.

But yeah, it would be better if Jacob fixing this site to its optimized state first rather than adding random things.

We've been there though with (if I recall this right)

2000 post + 50 rep = Custom Title

Only a few got that, like Me and Klown.
But it was removed though

Why doesn't he fix the auto-image-resize function?

See, that sounds good to me. I can imagine that it wouldn't have been far-reaching enough when it was first implemented, but it seems like a reasonable perk now that we have such a multitude of elders. It might also encourage those who only really post, and thus don't quite have the rep, to top-up with some Nosebleed (etc) contributions.

+1 for image resize, but then it's not like he doesn't know. I am still down about 12 rep from unheralded Nosebleed posts, though. :(

I mean .. some of us may have a lot of ideas considering custom title .. [size=10]some serious, some not .. But we can scratch the non-serious ones[/h]



I will add some,
It might encourage some of us who aren't having decent uploading speed (example : me) to lurk at request section and try to help another member of this community as well. At the very least, i think it can show we contribute even just by little.
But then again, rep can be easily abused.
Maybe Jacob need to restrict Reputation power so it only can be used for User upload, request, Nosebleed and SD section ?

It has been suggested, but then some of the resident funny-men and SD veterans would lose out, and there are plenty of other individual efforts that deserve credit. The system is almost impossible to regulate, though I don't think it would be unfair to say that 50 (or perhaps 75, 100) or more rep indicates some contribution to the community worthy of reward.

I liked that momentary lapse in time when there was no rep system.

Custom titles should also be given out to people like klown and kaimax imo.

well, thank you for you kind thoughts, but since both of us are mods those custom titles will be overwritten by the mod title. lol

there's plenty of other Guys/Gals that deserve them. :D
