#IRC Problem
0
I decided to go on the IRC chat for the first time today, so I pressed the button, selected "Connect", and I let it load and such. After a few seconds if gave me the message:
"You are banned from the channel #fakku"
Which confused me, as I have never been on IRC before. Perhaps it's my "client" or internet provider? I have no idea, and help would be greatly appreciated.

It's your provider, either download mIRC (advised) or refresh your IP address (google this):3
Is probably the stupidest thing Ive ever heard. It's not their provider because if you can tell if you are banned or not you have already connected to the rizon server.
Most likely your host mask (letters and numbers hiding your ip address) is similar to something on the current ban list. Try back later and see if it changes as mibbit likes to do that. Alternatively use an actual client like mIRC and it should work just fine.
You can also request a vhost from the server which is a good way to get around this.

After that to make a vhost you type /msg hostserv request vhost
Where it says vhost you type something like Hello.Everyone.in.the.world That will mask your IP address and gives you more of an identity.
/hostserv on should turn it the mask on.
