Is it just me or what?

So, I've been looking at some of the newer manga's that came out, (duh, everyone does that nobody wants to read the same on over and over again) but what I've come across is that, each time I click the picture to get to the next page, a ad or website opens in the background and that happens with like every picture I click on some manga's in some others just some, but when I minimize my window and see how many ad's or other websites are open it's like 40-50 sites, just around the number of pages I've just looked at, some manga's this has been happening with are for instance, Persona Minus 4 it opens me a website I've never heard of called etology link is huge so that's why I hyperlinked it..

So is it just me or whats happening?
And this is just one of currently many, also, this only happens to be with the very new ones, not the old ones or such, I'd say around 20 maybe, cause that's around the number (probably more) I've looked at yesterday..

Etology is a massive ad site that serves "over 1 billion ads per day" as it says on its site.

I don't get any pop-ups at all and I even have AdBlock Plus disabled on FAKKU. Try using Firefox if you aren't already. If that doesn't help, install the NoScript add-on for Firefox. If that doesn't work, I'd guess you have some malware on your PC so you should download Ad-Aware and do a scan. There's also programs like 'a-squared Anti-Malware' that are good.

I'm using Safari, but just a moment ago I was using Firefox and both have the same problem.
Also I'm using Macintosh so it's unlikely that I'm having any malware, my computer doesn't even know that word since I've never downloaded anything that's not safe, and I only get it here with the new manga's.

Well you're right that a Mac is a lot safer than a PC. Try NoScript for Firefox then. I just have Firefox with NoScript and I don't get any pop-ups on FAKKU, though I do still get them on various file-sharing sites (Megaupload and the like).

If it was just the odd pop-up, I'd say it's actually a good thing since it's paying for the running costs of FAKKU but you shouldn't be getting anywhere near that many.

The number's decreased, but that's possibly because I'm reading a different manga now, but even now I get some from time to time, I'll report back with the NoScript thing on firefox and try it out on Persona Minus 4, I'll edit it into this post then unless you reply to me before that.

Well it's currently working with NoScript, I've checked the "Options" and it shows that etology.com is being blocked, no idea what it is though or where it's coming from.
I just don't like FireFox very much, on Windows it's alrigh but I don't like it on Mac, it's slower and just not as pretty as Safari~
