I notice the forum is not as active as it "could be"

So here are some suggestions

Fuse the following boards
Random Incoherent Babbling Serious Discussion

Into one board call it "The Storm" like Bungie's has "The Flood"
which is just pretty much everything
in Fakku's case "non Anime/Manga/Hentia related"

Anime and Manga

Just that you only need one board titled that

Special Internet could be knocked down to 4 boards one of them being Video Games
when you want to talk about something more specific outside "The Storm"

You know, Serious Discussion back in the day had topics that were discussed at face value. Since no one is moderating that section, it's turned into a pile of crap that's akin to Random/IB.

However, I still firmly believe that there's a difference between Random and IB, simply regarding subject matter. IB has a lot of nonsense threads, and that's where it should stay. You don't find too much nonsensical (no real subject) threads in Random.

The "Intelligent answers to intelligent questions" tagline has become pretty farcical, and I agree, a lot of it could be solved via moderation (moving and merging of topics, and hard-line deletion of posts). The problem is that I'm not sure how many topics/posts would be left - after multiple years, most subjects have been discussed to death - and you'd be hard pushed not to make it an elitist club in deleting sincere (if rubbish) content.

Something definitely needs doing, though, and a moderator would be an easy fix at a time of many problems.

I think separate SD forum should be kept, but with much stricter moderation than it is now.

And in such case, Random could be for all stuff "too light" for SD.


Merging everything into one will create massive chaos...not to mention that moderating would be virtually impossible. Not without mod bots.

I think IB works pretty much well now...maybe not as good as it should, but better is the enemy of good.

To be honest, the present layout of forums works pretty well, and it makes finding specific things pretty easy compared to forums which just lump it all up in general tabs...the only problems is that I think that mods need to be a little more active in some cases (i.e SD).

I think once all of the bugs get fixed, the forum will be more active. Especially the e-mail notifications.

I disagree with the merging of the General Discussion, Anime Specific and Manga specific sections of the forum. I prefer them to remain the way they are as it provides clear distinction between the various genres.

I wouldn't like to see Serious Discussion being merged with Random either. There have been plenty of mind-provoking topics in the past and a couple of good ones do appear from time to time. Nonetheless, I have to admit that more "less-than-serious" threads have been cropping up. I will make it a point to visit Serious Discussion more often to ensure that everything is running smoothly.

Nah. There needs to be separation of topics that are good and topics that are crap. It's organized and it feels fine.

This topic has mismatching socks.

It took certin people to keep me coming and doing suff but, most of those people are gone or I keep up with them in other ways. Something about the word Community has always put me off for some reason.

It sure doesn't help that I'm not that friendly.
