Last Post not updating?

I've noticed this happening a few times over the past couple of days. The Last Post(er) on the side of a forum isn't up-to-date with who is actually the most recent poster. I've only noticed it a couple of times, and I was assuming it might be related to all of the slow downs we've had due to an abundance of traffic, but I thought maybe I should point it out anyway.

Yet when I go to check the topic, I'm the last poster:



Like I said I figure it was probably isolated incidents caused by the overload on the site and it is just taking a little while to update, but in case it is part of a bigger problem I thought I might mention it.

Edit: Yeah, and now ten minutes after this topic it is showing the last poster correctly. Hm, weird.

maybe it has to do something with your geographic position

It happened to me too (im in austria) i dont know it this occurs randomly or tends from fast posting.

Happens to me on those threads with over 1000 pages only. Sides that none.

The avatar rating thread is the only one I've seen it happen in, and it does so whenever a new page is created.

Hm, makes sense that it might happen on huge threads. Just seems like a random hiccup. It updated about ten minutes later, and then it had no more troubles updating through the remainder of that hour at least.
