links to posts and rep notification

i thought it would be better if when you click on 'view posts' on your profile page there are links to the actual post, not just the first page of the thread. this is because when i saw that i'd been +repped for the first time i wanted to know which post it was so i beagn to trawl but gave up because it took ages just to find my posts.

this brings me to my second point that i think it would be good if you were sent a notification when you are +/- repped with a link to that post, much like the notifications you get when there has been a reply to a thread you are watching.

I voted neither because I think it's not worth the effort to implement such a thing.

I believe it's unnecessary but I do agree with the main idea.

Links which could direct you from a certain post you've made, instead of just the thread itself, should be more than enough.

The first idea has some merit and could perhaps be combined with the jump-to-page option (if it ever gets implemented). Would definitely help in moving around the site.
What I don't like is the idea of using it to track down every rep loss/gain and for that very reason I don't support the second idea. Got calmer lately but we used to have enough rep fags without that.

on hindsight perhaps the rep notification isn't such a good idea. i think i was just getting a bit too happy about what little rep i do have.

Well, we did have a thread related to reps, and one of the topics was knowing what post you got repped on. I forgot the details, but nothing was done about that.

The first point is a good idea. I do get annoyed that I have to start from page one when the thread has like 50+ pages. Takes way too much time going through them all.

The second point, we don't need that.
