List of Mods

It would be nice to have one somewhere, seeing as we don't have a members list and everytime someone wants to PM a mod he have to hunt down a thread/post he's done.
I know the mod's name is under the particualr section he's in charge of, but who should one PM for the rest?
If there's already a list of mods somewhere that i've missed just point me in the right direction and trash this thread.
(I also think we need more mods, one for the upload-section atleast)

Indeed, we need more mods. But that has been brought up in the past right? Something about Raze looking into it and some more being added soon and that was months ago. I know it's not that difficult to add mods sense we have many users that are a daily part of the user uploads section. IDK how the admins select a mod but it's not hard at all. So I don't see why it's taking so much time. I'm sure they have their reasons tho. The only one I know that was added was the one to the request section and while it did need one the user upload sections needs one even more.
Also as for pming a mod can't you just go into your inbox and select new post then where it says user name type in the name of the user? The only two global mods that I know of are Gambler and Mattarat, correct me if I'm wrong.

Template->make_filename(): Error - file search_username.tpl does not exist
But yeah, that could work, but that also requires that i know who the mods are, which i somewhat do, but the newbies probably won't.

I just tried it as well. I get the same. I've been on Fakku all this time and I can't believe I've never tried or had to use that feature. I suppose newbies could get some use out of a mod list but let's try not to make it as well hidden as the request section.

Since the issue has been brought up, guess I'd say something about having only TWO GLOBAL MODERATORS isn't quite enough to facilitate the entire forum.
Day after day, I encounter numbers of threads that either have already been done before or was done at the wrong section. And I find most of those threads in the Random and IB section alone. I've been regularly keeping track of such threads so that I can report them all at once by pming one of the only two g-mods we've got. Aside from having a few more active mods, isn't there any more efficient way of solving these kinds of problems? I knew that Raze already once said something about it, but isn't it about time for a reconsideration.
We have a set of rules but most of it are already being neglected by most of the users since nobody's implementing it. Fakku is a great site, so there's no wonder that it'd only keep on attracting more and more people esp in joining the forums. If not for plus mods, can anyone suggest another way of how we can at least lessen the countless number of spams that arises from the Random section alone? I really couldn't come up with anything else. I'm just a bit concerned, all I want for Fakku is the best, that's all. (nothing can ever be perfect but we can always aim for improvement) :)

I still think Fpod could do it.
But, in seriousness, this one has been discussed to death, and then some.
If Fakku sees the need for more mods, more mods will be appointed. Asking for a mod, be it position or just another one, is simply a good way to beat a dead horse with a sharp stick until it revives in a necromantic rages and bites your nutsack off.
Just use the report button.
However, on that note, I would like to suggest this:
To further the useage of the Report button, and maybe reduce the amount of people asking for more mods/secretly hoping to moderate, we could instead expand the function of the button.
Similar to a /voteban in an online game, I suggest that if a post is reported by, lets say ten people report a post for something, then the post will be prematurely hidden, such as by a modified spoiler tag. For instance, a reported post consisting of whatever I just typed. After twenty, possibly thirty reports, it would be prematurely deleted, but could be undeleted by a mod or admin if so necessary, and would be permanently wiped after say three days.
As well, I suggest the addition of report categories. This not only ties into the previous suggestion, but it would make things easier for anyone checking on reported threads behind the scenes. Instead of having to read each message for why a thread/post was reported, we could instead have several categories, such as but not limited to: Inflammatory, Trolling, Wrong Section, Repost. As well, we could change the text box to be labeled "Describe the problem and provide additional information", but allow people to submit blank reports. I figure we don't need to type out "Repost" or "Wrong Section" each time we selected those categories.

The report button's effectiveness relies only on how the Admins or Mods could quickly respond to it. It's no use no matter how many reports may be submitted if none from the staff is even that active to deal with it. I've reported a thread once but heck,(4 days have passed) nothing happened. I even had to personally pm a mod just to have it locked.
I'm not really demanding that we should increase the number of mods, I'm merely suggesting it. And of course, the decision still lies at the hands of our Admins. I'd respect and support whatever it is that they might come up with which will help give solution to this matter.
I've been really thinking for awhile now about a certain way of how each and every user in this community can help contribute in resolving such issues. How about a "sticky" at every section of the forums where users such as myself can post the link of the threads that needs some serious attention (threads such as duplicate/repeat/misplaced/spamy/etc)... it would also make it easier for the mods since all they'd have to do now is check up on that "sticky" every once in awhile to know if there are certain threads which they might have missed. It isn't a bad idea right?
Does anyone else have something better to suggest? :) - we'd like to hear it.
(forgive me for I'm not very familiar on how the report function exactly works) - there's nothing wrong with Arizth's idea, but it requires quite a number of "concerned users" for it to fully work out.
ed:
Thanks Mattarat, for clarifying some things.
I'm gonna zip my mouth shut for now and deal with things as they come my way... I wouldn't bother anymore with the Random and IB, perhaps I'd just concentrate on the General & Specific Anime sections. (cause that's where I'm usually at anyway)

Just gonna clear a couple of things up first.
1) Reposts are allowing in Random and IB. There was a sticky saying this a while back, but it's been removed.
2) Mods don't have access to the report page, only the admins do. If you want a mod to delete/move a thread, check if any are online and then PM then. If not, just PM one of them and they'll do it when they're next online
3) The whole "we need more mods" subject has already been covered. The admins will choose if and when we need more mods.
Anyway, lits of mods could be a good idea for people who are new to the forums. Would the mods be added to the contact page, where all the admins are? Or would it be more appropriate for it to be somehow intergrated into the forum itself, say a list of names at the bottom.

*Edit*
How about a sticky in this section called Meet the Staff or something like that?
All the mods could make a post telling people what they do and so on.
Simple enough.

I still think 3 Global Moderators aren't enough for a big site like Fakku!
If we have more, it'll be better i think.
Just an opinion, OK ?

I think what would help would be if the mods could at least move items from sections other than their own, even if they can't delete them. I've been PM'd a few times by someone saying "There's a thread in [insert section name here] that's clearly a request. Can you move it to the request section please?" and I just have to reply saying "Actually... I can't." Odd, since I can move anything from the request section to any other point on the site but not vice versa (which would actually be practical).
As for Template->make_filename(): Error - file search_username.tpl does not exist, I get a very similar message when I try to split a thread (a mod edit function, to those that don't know).
