I would suggest a system where there was no rating, but instead where a user can say if they "liked" something, similar to "likes" on Facebook. That way, there will not be people "disliking" or giving negative reviews to certain genres just because it isn't their cup of tea.Ahh, that sounds good too. I just want a way to sort the newer mangas. The prob now is whenever i sort by Most Favorites, I always see the same old manga there, the page hardly changes at all.
That's the only thing that can't be helped. Popular ones will survive for eternity. unless Jacob decided to Reset the whole thing.
example, in VNDB Fate/stay Night has a 100% popularity rate just because everyone who registers in VNDB has already played F/SN
The Same thing also applied in here.
Like I said it's a popularity contest in the end.

If that is the problem, there is a 10 most recent manga feature whenever you click on Manga. Perhaps as another suggestion, there should be a feature that shows you 3 or so random manga? This way you could stumble across new material?

wasn't there a rating system on FAKKU a few years back, or am I confused?Yeah we used to have a 5 star rating system on the site. You can kind of see what it was like here: http://web.archive.org/web/20070313061529/www.fakku.net/mangam.php
Also, I love web archive.

I have no plans to bring it back. I prefer ranking things based on comments/favorites/downloads.
