Medals,Awards ect ect ect.

just tossin a idea out there. Would it be interesting if there were medals and such for doing certain things? Idk atm but i think it would be kinda nifty, maybe for posts per created topic or having a interesting replie and you could stack your medals just to show that you're the shit. idk just wondering. lemme know what you guys think or build on my post.

No. it's still kinda aweird idea but I thought wth and put it up. its just for instance If you made a great topic and had alot of replies. or making a great comment everyone enjoyed or being polite or mean just that kinda nonsence lol.

Something to that affect might be interesting instead of reputation. Like having the staff give you an award for an exceptional post or upload, or someone who completes a lot of requests. Only thing is Jacob is busy enough as it is, and I'm sure the rest of the staff don't really have the time to set up a complex system like that.

Bingo! I think it would promote a more friendly/competive/enjoyable forum. Its great all ready but it'd be even better Maybe more fakku oriented but ya i think it would be a great success. Maybe I should pitch this idea to jacob or another fakku staff. I would like more staff input maybe that would be cool.

Ya that makes alot of sense but maybe a Staff member in charge of giving medal would work out. and it would be time consuming and whatnot that why i said its just a weird thought.

Lol, kinda fun, but complicated and takes a lot of commitment lol...with the amount of admins and mods we have, I think this is quite hard...

Though I agree that would be quite complicated to impliment, I'd have to say that it would probably turn out way better than the rep system. That, or I'd like to see facepunch's post rating system.

My answer is no because I see no real need for it and it seems silly, if not worse off than rep. And you spelled etcetera wrong. It's etc not ect.

I'm still in favor of achievements which we discussed in a thread....somewhere. More amusing for one thing.

I think it's pointless, but it would certainly be more accurate than rep is because awards are 9/10 applied to a user by a moderator/admin not by a system that anyone has access to (like reputation).

It wouldn't be so hard to implement, bit of time would need to go into it, and we already have so many things on the back burner already.

As always it's implementation is up to Jacob, but I'm sure it'll fall pretty low on priority list atm.

I agree with both the rep system is nice to a degree but the medal could be givien by staff and thefore more efficient...but as you say it would be to problamatic for fakku.
