You have to ask how many moderators are active in the forums? Not many, and FAKKU! itself doesn't have a lot of moderators to begin with to be nominating users for awards. Like Tranquility mentioned, it seems pretty pointless even if it's nominated by the administrative staff. (Not blaming the moderators or anything, but we don't have enough moderators for this kind of thing.)

Most of the awards on the site Klown referenced wouldn't fit on Fakku (since we don't have clubs or weekly contests, nor do we need to point out that certain members are geekier or cuter than others), but the ones at the bottom of the page seem cool. I'm talking about the upload awards. And I don't think they'd require the mods to do anything. A code could be written or something.
For example, we could have awards for OST Uploader, H-Movie Uploader, and H-Games Uploader, that are given to any user that makes so many thread in User Uploads (in Music and Soundtracks, Videos, or Visual Novels, respectively). So, if a person has made 19 threads in Music and Soundtracks, when he makes another thread there, his 20th, he gets a notification that he has received an award for uploading so much, and that award is seen on his profile and maybe beside his post number on the forums (someplace where others can see it when he posts).
This may make people upload more, because they want an award, and if people spam to try to get an award, by posting stuff that's already been uploaded or posting too much (like, making four threads for the Gundam 00 OST because it has four discs and sharing one disc in each thread), people could report it, and the mods could clean it up and issue a warning or a ban. That shouldn't create too much work though, because I highly doubt people will try to get around the system that way, but it would be key to show everyone that anyone trying to do such a thing would be punished.
