i'm sure a LOT of guys here took part in surfing for porn when they were underage, right? i'll admit, i was one of them. (no surprise)

heck, probably right now, there are most likely under-aged twits who are visiting this site as i type, and NOT care about the forums. they probably don't even know than this site has a forums!

what is this topic all about?.. well basically, about all the minors out there who are surfing for porn.

i'm sure we all know what the answer is to the question of WHY are minors prohibited from surfing pornographic sites... i myself know the answer... but i'll admit, there are some knots with my answers. so i'd like to hear you guys on this.

i know that it's almost impossible to stop kids from surfing for porn behind their parent's back... but there ARE ways to help... right?

here's my thought: why don't we make Fakku a members-only site? that way, they'll be forced to register to get to the good stuff! i'm thinking that it'll reduce the number of kids from getting in here since only the DESPERATE ones will be registering while the ones NOT desperate will just find some other site to jerk off (prolly those sites that has Fakku's work ):<...).

i also had a thought that whenever they have to register, they'll have to answer a question that only adults know... but i figured that it would be WAY too complicated even for adults >_<

Yeah that isn't likely to answer, and I'm not sure asking a question like that would be entirely legal. When you agree to the Terms of Service you agree that you are eighteen, and you pretty much sign over that FAKKU! is not responsible for your age, but that is a bit of a loophole in of itself. If Jacob or another member of the staff knows that someone is not at least eighteen they are pretty much legally obligated to terminate the account.

That is why a lot of adult sites require credit card or your DLN in order to verify your age, but that isn't a particularly popular method because no one likes to give out that information online, especially to porn sites which are usually less than reputable.

Really the way Fakku handles it is the best you can do, you agree that you are eighteen, and if you are not then you could face the legal consequences via the California Supreme Court (although that happening is extremely slim) and if you manage to slip up and mention that you aren't at least eighteen years of age than you account will be terminated.

here's my thought: why don't the parents take responsibility and install some stupid netnanny or whatever blocking software if they can't be arsed to talk the matter through with their kids?

I'm sick of so many laws, rules, regulations, bans, etc. brought on by people who want everyone other than themselves to take care of their own children. I caught my son playing a violent video game! These should be banned! He was surfing a porn site, those should be outlawed!

That's a U.S. thing for you. The United States is much more lenient on violence in easy-to-acess entertainment as opposed to most countries in Europe. In turn, most other countries are more open to sexuality on television than the United States is.

For example in my country minors are allowed to have sex since they're 14, but they can't watch porn or erotic stuff unless 18. So, if they're going to have sex with someone before they reach 18, they should do it blindfolded? Or what?

I've thought the same thing. The Age of Consent isn't even universal in the United States. It ranges from 16-18, and even then they aren't concrete becaues there are Age Gab Provisions, which basically allows teen sexuality depending on the age difference between the two involved if they both happen to be under the AoC, and some states even have Mistake of Age Defense, which is basically as it sounds; you can use that you were not aware that the other party wasn't of legal age as a legal defense (which can either lessen your charges, or even possibly even wave charges completely.)

I think the whole concept is bias. There are teenagers who are emotionally mature and ready enough to have sex before they are sixteen, and there are those adults who aren't even mature enough to understand the implications. I understand that there needs to be some kind of ordinance in an attempt to keep all parties safe, but that doesn't mean that it has to be good or that I agree with what it is right now.

I've always though the Age of Consent should be universal and it should be the same age that dictates whether an individual is a minor or not. Like where I live, Indiana, the AoC is sixteen. So, what? I can have sex with a sixteen-year-old girl if she consents, but I can't take pictures of her, record video, or even have cyber and phone sex with her? To me that seems dumb. They should all be the same age.

Edit: Heh, funny really. I mentioned Indiana. Indiana is a pretty Conservative state, yet it share the lowest AoC cap, and is one of the even fewer states that has a Mistake of Age Defense.

Pfft, it was never hard before and it certainly isn't hard now. Most sites don't even require authentication because that would involve either giving your credid card number, or you DLN which most people refuse to give to such sites. Most places you can just get away with saying your eighteen and it is a done deal.
