Naming files.

You mean, naming files as they are hosted on the server?
...
OR...you COULD sort your own shit. Have you even extracted any of the archives?
If you had, you'd notice that it's fairly well labeled. For instance, Sweet Jam is labeled
[FAKKU] Kanon - Sweet Jam (English)
so it isn't all the fucking hard to figure out what it is.

I hate it when people don't type worth a damn. If you are from a foreign country it's forgivable but if you're just being lazy you need to stop being a tard.

I'm really disappointed with the new gen... I'm sure if g-money's here, he'll be just as disappointed as I am...

I'm pretty sure that most people keep doujinshi for a certain series in their own folder anyway, so all Final Fantasy doujinshi would be in a Final Fantasy folder, or even divided up into the various Final Fantasy games. Because of that, having the series name in the archive/folder name isn't really that important - it's only really worth it if you're sharing them with programs like Winny or Share because then people can search for the series rather than having to know the specific name of the doujinshi.

We might start using a new naming system soon, we are currently working on a site redesign and it might come hand in hand with that.

No I have never extracted any of the archives. I use CD Display to read mangas from archives directly. I open CD display & drag & drop archive & voila.
It is good to have a standard. Imagine situation:
you collect all mangas you dont like into 1 folder lets say we have 59 (mangas.rar) in this folder. now we use file lister to make a list of all crap & add it to our blacklist where we have already 5000 lines of H-manga names in.
In addition to this you have another list of all around 30 000 mangas as archives on your HDD.
So every time you DL new manga you check ur blacklist & exsisting mangas list first with (Search text inside files 0.2 app for example).
Or what if you want to show the list you have, to someone else?
I hope you understand now why proper naming standard of archives is important.
It is purely a suggestion.
EDIT: Actually if you need help renaming exsisting files I can make an application that will do it. I just need to know the file location pattern & what it must do exactly. Or it can be a combination of web crawler + renamer that will crawl the website, collect names & write em to file & then rename files or something. Its pretty easy to do with autoit script.
Ill check back this post next week once.

Why would you keep manga that you don't like? And why would you make a blacklist for the manga you don't like? Why not just read each manga and delete the ones you don't like right after you've read it?

Or, like I said, you COULD sort your own shit. Unless you, daily, download upwards of 50+ unlabeled H-manga, it would not kill you to make subfolders and rename files. Bringing up Sweet Jam again, I have it stored in
...H\Manga\Kanon[Fakku]Sweet Jam.rar
The sorting process of which took me around three seconds. And I also use CDisplay, so that argument are invalid.
As well, What Shaggy said. Why keep manga you dislike?

It seems to me that you're the only one with such a worry here. In regards to what Arizth had said a couple of times already... just friggin' sort out your own collection.
It also makes me wonder, why keep mangas you don't like? Don't tell me you're trafficking manga?! (why reserve space for something you do not need...are you that sentimental?) other than that, I see no other reason why you shouldn't just delete them.

I dont remember to be begging, asking or even applying to name the files the way I want. This is suggestion forum so if you dont have nothing smart to say regarding this topic go spam elsewhere!
Please.
Other vise if you know a good way to name the files, please share your thoughts.
To answer your question:
To insure that a good manga is not deleted by accident it is moved to the blacklist folder that is being emptied & a list of its contents(files) is being created & added to the blacklist once the folder is full by a specific software that is developed for this purpose.
I do not personally have problems the way Fakku staff names the archives, because my download manager is so smart that it is able to rename file automatically, so the files that are being downloaded usually look like this:
[code:1][EN]_DIOGENES CLUB [Bleach] [Bricola 2].zip[/code:1]
But you are missing the point hire. I was talking about naming standards & was also hoping to get some feedback how properly name the files so if I share my files ppl wont need to wonder, have they already red this or not. Also they may have special software, that scans the filenames they download & compares then to the files they have & to the blacklist to skips unwanted files.
I dont know how you download ur mangas, but this was my last download for example: http://soyleb.wordpress.com/2008/01/08/link-dump-from-h-rapture-mbh/#comments
It took me a week to sort all this btw.
So are there any file naming proposals maybe?
Please.

Well, having checked your link, I can safely say that one should not use link dumps.
Quite simply, everyone has their own style of uploading files. Some simply provide [Series][Name].rar, some go for [Artists][Series][Name].rar. Comiket releases usually have a C number included as well. If you want to share, we have a sticky with guidelines.
Fine as it is, I think.
