The problem with a redirect script, is most of the uploads once you are at the upload it shows the proper link. So even if the redirects and anon.to and whatnot are used the download links are still there for anyone to grab, just takes an extra bit of effort.
Torrents (while not the primary distribution method of this forum) are one way around this problem.
Adding a higher post limit to the subforum while a major annoyance on other forums, is one way to solve upstarts from stealing content but extremely troublesome for us the general public and other fans of such content.

I don't really care about this guy. Klown is the only person that should have to worry about him in my opinion. If all his threads go down that would be a unreasonable task for him to have to reupload all of that.

Well, at least there won't be any link removed/stolen if we lock down this section.
it's the same problem as flaggers. and that's the best solution I can think of now without any major changes to the site.

We are going to figure out a way to protect all of the links, it seems the blog was removed due to a ToS violation on the blog site (this is a good thing). If you see any other blogs stealing links, report them.

Make every upload private on MU/whatever.
Make one account that all Fakku users share, that can be used to download said files.
Make a user need to have at least 15 posts to download (optional, but would help a bit.)

I have never seen a site that uses private server use for free but if you come across one be sure not to keep it to yourself. If it exists and is truly private then that would work. Other then that you have to pay as Jacob suggested one time.

No. It wouldn't work at all and people would just rage. There are probably a few thousand people a day that download stuff from the uploads section or at least visit it. No offense but this idea is a little silly.

Even after Klown did a mass upload of english translated games, I can't even download one cause they all gone. I hope they stop this asshole. Sorry, I can't really do anything to help, but wish you luck in catching him.
