Page Jump

I was browsing the waifu thread then it came to me that it would take some time

to reach the middle pages of the thread.

So i am suggesting a "Go to" or Page jump to a specific page.

While this isn't a solution, you can just apply a little math.

There are 15 posts per page, but the topic post itself (basically the opening post) is omitted, so you start from post 2.

That means page 2 is 15, page 3 is 30 and so forth.

https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=THREAD_ID&start=15
https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=THREAD_ID&start=30
https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=THREAD_ID&start=45

Applying &start=# will start the topic from that post whichever page it is on, so if you apply &start=45 you will be starting from page 3 of any posting, if you wanted to get to page 13 you would simply do the math

15*12(remember you start from the second page, since it's an easier process)
That gives you 180

https://www.fakku.net/viewtopic.php?t=18768&start=180 for example will put you on the 13th page of the thread

edit: ...wait...lol... this is so much more work than just sifting through the pages...god I'm geeky to actually have typed all this...

We'll see if Jacob is for implementing a jump to for thread posts when he returns.

But true, simply add some numbers to get to pages thats a few or couple away from the one your on. But doing math just to get to the middle?????....

But it was a good suggestion, like in the waifu thread there's so many pages i find it hard to find the exact post of the person who claimed that waifu.

I agree with this suggestion. We should have some kind of system so that we can jump to any page we want.

I've had that situation happen occasionally, but I usually just do exactly what Tranquility suggested. I don't know. It seems like it would be useful on only a handful of threads and Jacob is already busy as it is. Hmm.
